1. Turkish fatwas including one not to allow people to keep pet dogs at home.

For instance, Diyanet recently issued a fatwa that urges Muslims who have tattoos to repent if they are unable to erase them. Another fatwa was mentioned in Diyanet‘s 2015 calendar. “Do not keep pet dogs at home … Prophet Mohammed once said: ‘Angels do not visit homes where there are dogs and paintings.'”

4. EU’s Kerchove says “we cannot prevent new terror attacks”

AGI) Brussels, Jan 13 – Gilles de Kerchove, the EU Counter-terrorism Coordinator, warned that “we cannot prevent further [terror] attacks.” The top European official said that prisons “are incubators of a massive radicalisation”, and explained that “it is not possible to totally prevent terrorism attacks such as the Paris massacre.”

(What do you say about a political authority that openly admits they cannot protect us, yet we know would not grant its citizens the most basic right to self defense and to discriminate against the enemy who is attacking us? How do we describe this situation?)

5. Man linked to Paris attack arrested in Bulgaria:

Bulgarian authorities on Tuesday confirmed they had arrested a French citizen believed to have links to one of the brothers who carried out the Paris attacks. (Jan. 13)

    When Kerchove says that they “cannot” prevent future terrorist attacks what he should be saying is that they are not prepared to do what is necessary to prevent future terrorist attacks. For instance, if there were no radical Muslims in Europe, there would be no terrorist threat whatsoever, would there. What Kerchove is saying is that he doesn’t personally care enough about the safety of his own country to risk being called nasty names like “racist” and “Islamophobic” by the international left and the mainstream media, not that the attacks are impossible to prevent. Winning the war would also be an excellent way of preventing terrorist attacks, I would think…

      Except instead of having the executions and wild animal hunts on the sandy floor of the arena, they are staging them in the seats among the spectators, so we are the spectacle and the audience for the spectacle at the same time. But it’s not increasing their popularity and prestige somehow.
