1. *** NYPD alerted to ISIS threat against cops, soldiers, civilians ***

FirefoxScreenSnapz037
Barry Williams/Barry Williams The NYPD was put on high-alert following the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris and new threats from ISIS.

A new ISIS threat has surfaced with the terror regime calling on its supporters to kill police officers, soldiers, intelligence officers and civilians in the U.S.

City cops were alerted to the threat and ordered to remain vigilant after the sick bulletin’s release on social media Saturday.

2. Algerian sources warned against attack on Charlie Hebdo offices

A failure in French intelligence services surfaced over the weekend, when news broke that Algerian intelligence sources warned their French counterparts on January 6th of the expected attack on the Charlie Hedbo offices that took place the next day.

Furthermore, the terrorists responsible both for Wednesday’s Charlie Hebdo attack and for Friday’s attack on a Kosher supermarket were familiar to French and international security forces.

3. Pakistani soldier beheaded by Afghan, Pakistani IS supporters: video

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan (Reuters) – A group of Pakistani and Afghan militants have beheaded a Pakistani soldier after pledging allegiance to Islamic State, according to a new video released online, copying execution tactics used by the Middle East jihadist group.

Islamic State, which controls large areas of Iraq and Syria, has gained a foothold in Pakistan and Afghanistan in the past year, with a number of former Taliban militants setting up a new group purporting to represent IS interests in the region.

5. Let’s laugh at Islam -Daniel Greenfield
Anyone who seriously believed after 9/11 that victory against the ongoing Islamic conquest would be accomplished by military force has by now been steadily disabused of that illusion after over a decade of political correctness, passivity and misguided campaigns to bring democracy to the Muslim world. The war against Islam is not going to be won with guns or bombs. Force is merely the final solution to settling conflicts but Islam’s violence is for now only the tip of the iceberg of a much larger campaign to make the world into an Islamic domain.

7. Hollande asked Netanyahu not to attend Paris memorial march

French President Francois Hollande conveyed a message to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the weekend asking him not to come to Paris to take part in the march against terror on Sunday, according to an Israeli source who was privy to the contacts between the Elysees Palace and the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem. The fact that this message had been conveyed was first reported by Channel 2.

  1. #2 the main killer tard was out on early BAIL, compliments of Christine Taubira, their Justice Minister – and my instinct about her tells me that this was not an oversight. SHE IS EXTREEEEEEMLY BAD NEWS FOR FRANCE AND OUR CIVILISATION.

#4 BBC is just another whore in the harem of Al Jezeera, one of the cheapest ones.

#7 Hollande is such a tiny – in every sense minuscule man, he wouldn’t reach the ankles of Bibi and if he had a ladder as high as Jacobs’. Bibi was the only “leader” in the front row of this sickening political opportunism, who deserved the name “Leader”. And apart from all that, I like BiBi, although he has to stop that “tending the other cheek” business towards Obama and his ilk pretty soon.

#5 I’m in looooorve with Daniel Greenfield, so that you all know 😉

  3. Terrorism Bill ‘needs to be changed to protect citizens’ rights’ (BBC, Jan 12, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-30772035

“The government’s counter-terrorism bill needs to be changed to protect the rights of UK citizens, Parliament’s human rights watchdog says. The Joint Committee on Human Rights is concerned about plans to block UK terror suspects returning to Britain. Ministers said the powers will be used when “necessary and proportionate”. Prime Minister David Cameron will meet security chiefs later to discuss how to defend Britain against terrorist attacks like those in France last week.

The bill is due for its second reading in the House of Lords on Tuesday and comes amid fears that Britain could be the victim of a terrorist attack like those seen in France last week, which left 17 victims dead. Hundreds of British Islamists are thought to have travelled to Syria to fight, and the Bill includes statutory temporary exclusion orders to control the return of UK citizens suspected of terrorist activity.

However, the human rights committee – which is made up of MPs and peers – is concerned that this would violate the human rights of British nationals even if it were enforced on a temporary basis. It said a simpler system would be for suspects to provide advance warning of their return to the UK on pain of criminal penalty if they failed to do so….”

    • The Glasgpow bin lorry incident, I believe is a Jihadi attack.

Britain is one of the few Western countrie where a “D notice” can be put on a news item, and no one is informed that such an act has taken place.

      • It’s now called a DA notice, and is only supposed to be invoked in cases of national security. How can a bin lorry driver’s name come under ‘national security’? I think we may know…

  4. Pegida’s anti-Islam rallies stir fears of German Turks (BBC, Jan 12, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-30742898

“For four months, the Patriotic Europeans against the Islamisation of the West (Pegida) movement has been sweeping through Germany, causing concern in the Turkish community, the largest immigrant population in Germany. Turkish-German journalist Lamiya Adilgizi reports.

“A horror film” is how Sirin Manolya Sak, a 29-year-old German-Turkish woman from Berlin, describes the rise of Pegida.

Islamophobia tops the list of reasons why young German Turks are prone to leave their native Germany – the European country with the largest number of immigrants – to go to Turkey, their country of origin.

Many of them have never been to Turkey but have heard about it from their parents, guest workers who preferred not to return to their homeland due to better living conditions in Germany.

Ms Sak says Pegida’s rallies are not surprising as it is not a new issue for her community, which has been exposed to discrimination for years in Germany.

“This newly emerged Pegida movement had always existed in German society, and foreigners – as they call us – from various cultures and ethnicities, especially from Muslim backgrounds, have always faced this type of discrimination and racism,” Ms Sak said.

She calls Pegida the main threat to multiculturalism, as representatives of the movement come from mainstream German society…”

  5. 5/ I agree with everything in Daniel Greenfield’s article, and twice over, except the bit about Muslims knowing their entire system of belief is a fraud. I think a lot of them don’t. A lot of them don’t know anything. They certainly don’t know enough about Judaism and Christianity to know those are sources their religion was cribbed from. The ignorance on the part of Muslims I’ve tried talking with about Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism or any other religion is usually shocking and often complete. So I question whether they can be insecure because they know their religion is a lie, because they don’t know enough about any religion, even their own a lot of the time, to make any reason- or logic-based decision about Islam being true or a lie. Perhaps they intuit it. But outraged Muslims I’ve dealt with are more like organisms without higher cognitive functions whose reactions to stimuli are governed by their spinal cords.

  6. #1 “…calling on its supporters to kill police officers, soldiers, intelligence officers and civilians in the U.S.”

    In other words, ‘everyone’…

    • The US is the number 1 target of ISIS, I think they know that once Obama is out of office the next President will reenter the fight against the Jihadists.

  7. GERMANY – BERLIN – Merkel, top ministers to join Muslim march for ‘tolerance’

Chancellor Angela Merkel and most of her cabinet will join a rally for an “open and tolerant Germany” called by Muslim leaders Tuesday in Berlin after the jihadist attacks in France, a spokesman said.

Merkel will take part in the event at the Brandenburg Gate in the heart of the capital, along with Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel, Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and other top officials, government spokesman Georg Streiter told reporters Monday.

The Central Council of Muslims in Germany, one of a handful of groups representing the interests of the country’s four-million-strong community, called the vigil under the banner “Let’s be there for each other. Terror: not in our names!”.

The event, co-sponsored by the Turkish Community of Berlin, is scheduled to kick off at 1700 GMT.

“We Muslims in Germany condemn the despicable terror attacks in France in the strongest terms,” the groups said in an invitation Saturday.

“There is no justification in Islam for such acts.”

The rally is also intended to send a strong message of unity against a new anti-Islamic group whose weekly marches in the eastern city of Dresden have grown in size since their start in October.

“Those who use racist and Islamophobic slogans strengthen the rabble-rousers, inciters of hatred and terrorists,” it said.

    • German minister calls for anti-Islam rally to be canceled

Germany’s justice minister is calling on organizers of anti-Islam rallies in Dresden to cancel a planned protest Monday out of respect for the victims of the terror attacks in France.

The weekly rallies are organized by a group called the Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West, or Pegida. They often accuse mainstream media of lying about immigration and other issues.

Organizers of Monday’s demonstration have asked participants to wear black ribbons to honor the victims of three days of terror in Paris that started with an attack on satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo.

But Justice Minister Heiko Maas told newspaper Bild on Sunday that the rally should be canceled, saying it’s “simply disgusting” that organizers want to commemorate victims “THAT LAST WEEK THEY STILL INSULTED AS LYING JOURNALISTS.”

  8. FRANCE – Nearly 5,000 officers will protect Jewish schools, and thousands of troops will guard other sensitive sites following the attacks.

France has deployed nearly 5,000 police to protect Jewish schools and mobilised thousands more security forces in the wake of the terror attacks in Paris.

Addressing parents of a Jewish school south of the capital, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said soldiers would also be posted as reinforcements at the country’s 717 Jewish schools.

France is also ordering a further 10,000 members of the security forces to protect other sensitive sites, a deployment which will begin on Tuesday.

It comes as the country’s Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, said one of the three gunmen who killed 17 people in the capital “undoubtedly” had an accomplice and vowed to continue the hunt.

  9. CHINA – Six attackers killed by police in Xinjiang

Six attackers with explosive devices were killed by police in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Monday morning, local authorities said.

A suspect with an explosive device was spotted by local residents at about 10:10 a.m. in a commercial district in Shule County. The suspect, who later attacked police with an axe and tried to detonate the device, was shot dead by police.

When the police were handling the suspect, another five attackers attempted to ignite explosive devices attached to their bodies. They were killed by the police on the spot.

No casualties of police or civilians were reported.

A minibus with explosive devices was also spotted at the site.

  10. Boko Haram crisis: Nigerian archbishop accuses West (BBC, Jan 12, 2015)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-30777066

“The Catholic Archbishop of Jos, in central Nigeria, has accused the West of ignoring the threat of the militant Islamist group, Boko Haram.

Ignatius Kaigama said the world had to show more determination to halt the group’s advance in Nigeria.

He said the international community had to show the same spirit and resolve it had done after the attacks in France.

His warning came after 23 people were killed by three female suicide bombers, one reported to be 10 years old.

The weekend attacks come after reports that hundreds of people were killed last week during the capture by Boko Haram of the town of Baga in Borno state.

Archbishop Kaigama told the BBC’s Newsday programme that the slaughter in Baga had shown that the Nigerian military was unable to tackle Boko Haram.

“It is a monumental tragedy. It has saddened all of Nigeria. But… we seem to be helpless. Because if we could stop Boko Haram, we would have done it right away. But they continue to attack, and kill and capture territories… with such impunity,” he said.

The UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, said he was appalled by reports of the killings in Baga and condemned what he called “the depraved acts of Boko Haram terrorists”…”

  11. Saudi Cleric Condemns Snowmen As Anti-Islamic

Quoting from Muslim scholars, Sheikh Munajjid argued that to build a snowman was to create an image of a human being, an action considered sinful under Islam.

A prominent Saudi Arabian cleric has whipped up controversy by issuing a religious ruling forbidding the building of snowmen, described them as anti-Islamic.

Asked on a religious website if it was permissible for fathers to build snowmen for their children after a snowstorm in the country’s north, Sheikh Mohammed Saleh al-Munajjid replied: “It is not permitted to make a statue out of snow, even by way of play and fun.”

Quoting from Muslim scholars, Sheikh Munajjid argued that to build a snowman was to create an image of a human being, an action considered sinful under the kingdom’s strict interpretation of Sunni Islam.

Sheikh Munajjid had some supporters, however. “It (building snowmen) is imitating the infidels, it promotes lustiness and eroticism,” one wrote.

“May Allah preserve the scholars, for they enjoy sharp vision and recognise matters that even Satan does not think about.”

Snow has covered upland areas of Tabuk province near Saudi Arabia’s border with Jordan for the third consecutive year as cold weather swept across the Middle East.

  12. Egypt student gets 3-year jail term for atheism

An Egyptian court has sentenced a student to three years in jail for announcing on Facebook that he is an atheist and for insulting Islam, his lawyer said Sunday.

Karim El-Banna, a 21-year-old whose own father testified against him, was jailed by a court in the Nile Delta province of Baheira on Saturday, lawyer Ahmed Abdel Nabi told AFP.

“He was handed down a three-year prison sentence, and if he pays a bail of 1,000 Egyptian pounds ($ 140 or 117 euros) the sentence can be suspended until a verdict is issued by an appeals court,” Abdel Nabi said, adding that an appeal was to be heard on March 9.

Abdel Nabi said his client’s father had testified against his son, charging that he “was embracing extremist ideas against Islam”.

Banna’s name had appeared in a list of known atheists in a local daily after which his neighbours harassed him, said Ishaq Ibrahim, a researcher on religion and beliefs at the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights.

When Banna went to file a complaint against them at a police station, he was accused of insulting Islam and arrested, said Ibrahim, who has been tracking Banna’s case.

Banna has been in custody since November.

  13. LONDON – Muslim on the roof –

A fugitive wielding a foot-long machete climbed onto the roof of a block of flats in a four-hour stand-off with police before he was arrested for attempted murder.

The man climbed out of the bedroom window of his top-floor flat to escape police called to reports of a stabbing at Nisbet House in Homerton High Street, east London, at 8.20pm on Friday.

He hurled tiles off the roof and tore guttering from the five-storey block.

Witnesses today told the Standard the man began shouting “Allah Allah” and “I’m going to stab all white people” while striking the machete against roof tiles.

A neighbour in his 40s said: “At first I thought he was singing but then he started hurling abuse and chanting at the crowd that had gathered below. He had an audience and was playing up to it.

“He had a machete that was about a foot long and started hitting the roof with it.

“There was a helicopter shining its light on him and you could see the sparks coming off and the silver glint of the machete.“

Witnesses said several people were evacuated from the block while the drama unfolded.

A woman in her thirties said: “When he had been up there a while he started screaming ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry’ and a bit later he started shouting that he was going to stab all the white people.

“I think he lives in the same part of the block where he was standing and had climbed out of his own window to escape.

“There were lots of police here because they didn’t know what kind of weapon he had.”

Another neighbour said: “At first I didn’t know what was going on until I saw a police officer point to the roof of my block of flats. I looked up and saw a man holding what looked like a huge knife.

“The man seemed very angry and started to hit tiles off the building with his knife and pull down the guttering.”

The man climbed back inside his flat and was arrested by police at 12.30am on Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 8pm on Friday by the London Ambulance Service where a man had been stabbed inside an address in Nisbet House, Hackney.

“Officers attended and found a man in his forties with stab wounds and he was taken by ambulance to hospital. The suspect was locked in the flat. He threatened police and got out of a bedroom window.

“Officers got onto the roof and saw him with a machete. At around 12.30am a man in his forties was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody at an East London police Station.”

The victim of the stabbing was discharged from hospital after being treated for his injuries.
