Ongoing massive street conflict in Germany between opponents of mega mosque and Islamic norms and Muslims.

Here is a no-audio video made from stills of what seems to be taking place in the streets of Germany today

The story is detailed here in Yahoo News as well as BigStory News

German police clash with far-right protesters

German riot police Sunday clashed with far-right hooligans who rallied against Islamist extremism, with authorities using water cannons and tear gas against the rock-throwing protesters.

At least 2,500 hardline football fans from across Germany had amassed under the banner “Hooligans against Salafists” in the western city of Cologne, drawing some 500 leftist and anti-fascist counter protesters.

Tensions escalated and right-wing protesters repeatedly yelled “foreigners out!” reported national news agency DPA and witnesses sending updates on Twitter.

Police in helmets and riot gear used batons, pepper spray and water cannons against the right-wing protesters who hurled rocks, bottles and fireworks at them.

Earlier this month, Kurds in Germany clashed with radical Muslims in the northern city of Hamburg and elsewhere in street clashes fuelled by the conflict involving the jihadist group Islamic State in northern Iraq and Syria.

More videos. Waiting on the translators to tell me if there is anything here worth subtitling. The second video has chants which would be interesting to see in English perhaps.

It appears that along with Hungary and Greece, Germany’s genuine liberals dropped the ball and elected to go with hideously bad thinking and allowed liberalism and indigenous culture and sovereignty be lost to muslim soldiers-of-occupation and now, the locals may turn to a strong man for a solution.

What a shame.

  1. I don’t like football hooligans but a part of me feels like joining them at times. The authorities will blame them instead of their own poor policies and muslim fanatics.

    • The original foot soldiers of the American Revolution were the Sons Of Liberty, they were called hooligans and worse but served to keep the idea of revolution and freedom before the masses.

  2. German Hooligans unite against Salafascists

Europe is known for its soccer fan clubs, that sometimes get into gangs fights with each other. They are widely called “soccer hooligans.”
A popular movement against Islam is growing in Germany, with similarities to the EDL. In Britain the EDL consists largely of young men who demonstrate against Islam. The British media has often claimed that the EDL grew out of the “soccer hooligan” sub-culture. While many who participate in EDL demonstrations are right-wingers, it is otherwise apolitical. EDL encourages a wide spectrum of British citizens to become active in the singular cause of halting Islamic immigration and the Islamification of British cities.

In Germany, “Hooligans gegen Salafisten” appears to be a growing broad spectrum anti-Islamification movement.

The German media is demonizing the movement with the usual “Nazi” slur. The English language DW.DE article below includes stock photographs that are meant to demonize, but do not actually appear to have anything to do with the movement.

Online, Hooligans gegen Salafisten social media pages are being banned on Facebook and other sites.

  3. Hurrah for hooligans! And who knew they were all far right? The Police were defending Islam, so f**k the Police.

  4. Ebola outbreak: Woman in quarantine in Brisbane (BBC, Oct 26, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-29776518

“A teenager has been put into isolation in Queensland after arriving from West Africa and developing a fever. The woman, 18, is being monitored for possible Ebola infection at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Separately an Australian man who reported a high temperature after returning to Thailand from the DR Congo has been told to stay at home.

More than 10,000 people have contracted the Ebola virus, with 4,922 deaths, the World Health Organization says. Chief health officer Dr Jeanette Young said the 18-year-old woman was not a health worker and had arrived from West Africa 11 days ago.

“She didn’t have any known contact with anyone that was sick with Ebola,” Dr Young said. “But she did come from an area that had a reasonably large number of cases, so that’s why it was thought appropriate that she go into home quarantine when she arrived.”

Eight other members of the family who arrived at the same time “remain in home quarantine in the house they’ve been in since they’ve first arrived”, Dr Young said…”

  5. Ebola: Visiting envoy Samantha Power condemns response (BBC, Oct 26, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-29776348

“The US ambassador to the UN has begun a visit to the three nations worst hit by the Ebola outbreak, criticising the level of international support so far. Samantha Power has landed in Guinea and will visit Sierra Leone and Liberia. She told NBC some nations who offered backing “haven’t taken responsibility yet” in supplying aid and doctors.

More than 10,000 people have contracted the Ebola virus, with 4,922 deaths, according to the World Health Organization’s latest figures. All but 27 of the cases have occurred inside Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.

Ms Power told NBC as she boarded her plane: “The international response to Ebola needs to be taken to a wholly different scale than it is right now.””

  6. The chants in the second video go “hurray, hurray, the Germans are here” (Hurra, Hurra, die Deutschen die sind da)

There are no shouts of “foreigners out”, which would be an impossible task. It would be “Turken raus”, but I can’t hear that.

This looks more like a spontaneous revolt; there doesn’t seem to be an organised movement behind this, which is good.

  7. Towns ‘feel under siege’ from migrants, minister warns (BBC, Oct 26, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-29776970

“Parts of the UK could be “swamped” by EU migrants unless rules change, the defence secretary has claimed.

Michael Fallon said it was vital to impose some restrictions on the free movement of people in the EU, as many towns feel “under siege” by workers and those claiming benefits.

His language attracted criticism, with Labour saying it was “desperate”.

A Downing Street source later said Mr Fallon “accepts he should have chosen his words better.”

He should have used the words “under pressure” instead, the source added.

Official figures published in August showed UK net migration – the difference between those entering and leaving – increased by more than 38% to 243,000 in 2013-14. EU citizens accounted for two-thirds of the growth.

It has been reported the UK could seek to apply an “emergency brake” to stop EU migration after it reached a certain level or to limit the number of National Insurance numbers issued to new arrivals…”

“The brother of a Portsmouth man killed while fighting for Islamic State (IS) in Syria has been charged with preparing terrorist acts.

Mustakim Jaman, 23, of Hudson Road, Southsea, has been charged under section five of the Terrorism Act 2006.

He is the brother of Ifthekar Jaman who was killed in Syria in December 2013.

Mr Jaman is due at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Another brother, Tuhin Shahensha, 26, has also been charged with terrorism offences.

Mr Shahensha, also of Hudson Road, appeared in court on Friday accused of planning to fight in Syria. He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 14 November.

The two men, of Hudson Road, Southsea, were arrested along with a number of other people in Hampshire and London on 14 October by the South East Counter Terrorism Unit (SECTU).

A 57-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman have been released on bail.

A 23-year-old woman from Farnborough and a 29-year-old woman from Greenwich, south-east London, have been released without charge.”

UK ends Afghan combat operations (BBC, Oct 26, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-29776544

“The last UK base in Afghanistan has been handed over to the control of Afghan security forces, ending British combat operations in the country.

The union flag was lowered at Camp Bastion, while Camp Leatherneck – the adjoining US base – was also handed over to Afghan control.

Prime Minister David Cameron said Britain would never forget those who had died serving their country.

The number of deaths of British troops throughout the conflict stands at 453.

The death toll among US military personnel stands at 2,349.

Mr Cameron tweeted: “I made a commitment that I would get our Armed Forces out of Afghanistan by 2015 and today sees the end of combat operations in the country.

“We will always remember the courage of those who served in Afghanistan on our behalf and never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice.”

A spokesman for the Afghan Defence Ministry welcomed the handover, which he said “puts our capabilities into practice”.

“Afghan security forces have been leading the fight in ground operations in the country for two years now.”

The UK forces were part of a US-led coalition which toppled the ruling Taliban in 2001, following the 9/11 attacks in the US….”

  10. Lebanon army steps up Tripoli battle against militants (BBC, Oct 26, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-29778462

“The Lebanese army has launched a fierce assault against Sunni militants in Tripoli, forcing a retreat from the Old City on a third day of fighting.

The battle has now shifted to a Sunni neighbourhood, where the army is using tanks and armoured vehicles.

At least five soldiers and two civilians have died in the fighting.

The militants, thought to be linked to Islamic State and al-Qaeda, threatened to kill soldiers they have captured unless the army halts its operations.

“We warn the Lebanese army against any military escalation targeting Sunnis in Tripoli,” the al-Nusra Front, al-Qaeda’s Syrian affiliate, said in a statement quoted by AFP news agency….”
