More notables. Post 2 for Oct. 3 – 2014

1. I have to admit. Christianity inspires the best devotional music across the global board. At least to the best of my knowledge, no other religion shows its love and faith by personal expression through art.

2. Some important disclosures and analysis of Obama’s policies towards Israel and Iran by Caroline Glick.

(Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and analysis but no one is entitled to their own facts. This article by Glick is chocablock full of important and lesser known facts which should color anyone’s analysis)

3. Many rumors of things happening in North Korea. At this moment I have no opinion or belief in any of the reports.

4. There seems to be a lot of confusion about US policy on travel from Ebola endemic nations. A previous Breitbart link saying there is no additional screening for passengers is now dead. Here is a link that does work about screening and flights in.

5. Amsterdam Jewish schools get military police protection

Several Jewish schools in Amsterdam’s Buitenveldert district are being guarded by military police officers and have been for the past month, the Parool said on Thursday. Four police officers in full uniform are on duty at the entrance of the orthodox Cheider school, while Maimonides and Rosj Pina have similar protection, the paper says. The street also has a mobile police post which has fitted with cameras.

6. Wilders threatened by Dutch jihadist in Syria

(The video is in Dutch but the article is in English. We are already looking into the value of translating and titling the video)

Thank you Yucki, M., Don L., and all.

Look, it is time for a serious re evaluation of things. Events have moved quickly. The original purpose of the blog was to provide evidence to a contention about Islam and leftism and its purposes and dangers to classical liberalism and the Enlightenment in general. I think that is all pretty clear now. We are rapidly moving in to a phase of all out war. The only thing that hasn’t changed is that the official hard left is still running camouflage for Islamic supremacy and terrorism and attacks. But it begins to become obvious to more and more people what the facts on the ground are, when they aren’t up in the air thanks to an IED.

I would welcome suggestions about what this site should be doing differently and what the mission should be now.

  2. Eeyore:
When I first came to your blog you thought Christianity was just as evil as Islam. Today you’re playing christian music. I would suggest watching a Christmas musical show at a local church find the best one in your area. The one I go to nearly every year brings tears to my eyes some of the music is just so beautiful.

Again, I’m agnostic but I have no problem what so ever with other peoples views on the universe. My wife has similar views as myself but she wants to join the choir when she retires.

    They are good people.

  3. Did I think that?

Its possible but I certainly don’t remember saying that. I do believe that while many things may be equally untrue, those things will not be of equal consequence.

    • Yes, you quoted and posted Hitchens, Dawkins, Krauss and all the other idiot atheists.

I know Hitchens said a lot of logical things over the years.
But when he said Fascism was just another christian right wing.
I totally lost respect for the guy. He had no idea what he was talking about.
      NOT a freeking clue.

      • Whenever anyone says anything really good I credit them if I use the quote.

I still quote Dawkins because his work on game theory and evolution is excellent. I quote Sam Harris all the time.

Statement by the President on Hajj and Eid al-Adha

Michelle and I would like to extend our best wishes to Muslims in the United States and around the world who are celebrating Eid al-Adha, and to congratulate those performing the Hajj this year.

As our Muslim neighbors and friends gather for Eid celebrations, Muslim Americans are among the millions of pilgrims joining one of the world’s largest and most diverse gatherings. Hajj brings together Muslims from around the world – Sunni and Shiite – to share in reverent prayer, side by side. It serves as a reminder that no matter one’s tribe or sect, race or religion, gender or age, we are equals in humanity.

On Eid, Muslims continue the tradition of donating to the poor and joining efforts with other faith communities in providing assistance to those suffering from hunger, sickness, oppression, and conflict. Their service is a powerful example of the shared roots of the world’s Abrahamic faiths and how our communities can come together in shared peace, with dignity and a sense of justice.

On behalf of the American people, we extend our warmest greetings during this holiday. May the prayers of peace made by the Hajj pilgrims and those of all faiths around the world be heard and granted. Eid Mubarak.

  6. INDONESIA – Radical [ Muslims ] protest violently in Jakarta

    – Indonesian riot police Friday fired tear gas during clashes with hundreds of rock-pelting Islamic hardliners who protested against Jakarta’s incoming Christian Chinese governor.

The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) has demanded incoming governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama be prevented from taking office because of his ethnicity and religion, branding him an “infidel” and “the devil”.

Some 20 FPI protestors were arrested after they hurled rocks and animal faeces at City Hall before pulling out weapons, including at least one sword, Jakarta police said. Sixteen police officers were injured in the clashes.

The riot squad responded with tear gas as the hardliners tried to break police lines and enter the building, even though Purnama was in South Korea attending the Asian Games closing ceremony, according to the Jakarta Globe.

Most of the police suffered head injuries due to the rocks and at least one suffered a sword wound, said Jakarta police spokesman Rikwanto, who goes by one name.

Purnama has become the most visible ethnically Chinese politician in Indonesia, the world’s biggest Muslim-majority nation, and is widely liked for his no-nonsense, straight-talking style.

His campaign to crack down on corruption and clean up Jakarta’s administration has also earned him public support in the capital.

He is expected to soon be sworn in as governor to replace Joko Widodo, who won the July presidential election and is scheduled to be inaugurated as the nation’s leader on October 20.

Chinese-Indonesians suffered decades of persecution under the Suharto dictatorship – which banned most forms of Chinese expression, including the language – before it fell in 1998.

The FPI has carried out several violent protests and attacks in recent years with almost complete impunity, despite repeated calls for the government to ban the organisation.

The group has succeeded in getting events it deems “un-Islamic” either cancelled or changed in the past. In 2012, pop sensation Lady Gaga axed a concert in Jakarta after protests led by the FPI.

      • Statement by Liberal Party of Canada Leader Justin Trudeau on Eid al-Adha
        Posted on October 3, 2014

OTTAWA – The Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on Eid al-Adha:

“Today, Muslims in Canada and around the world come together in observation of Eid al-Adha.

“This occasion allows for reflection on the importance of sacrifice and charity. Friends and family will gather for gift-giving to those less fortunate, and many Muslims around the world will undertake the Hajj.

“Eid al-Adha is an opportunity for prayer, forgiveness, and celebration. It is on days like today that we are reminded of the values that bring all Canadians together – those of peace, compassion, family, and friendship.

“On behalf the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary Caucus, I extend my best wishes to all those observing Eid al-Adha. Eid Mubarak!”

  8. Minister Kenney issues statement on Eid al-Adha

Ottawa, October 3, 2014 — The Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister for Multiculturalism, issued the following statement to recognize Eid al-Adha:

“This weekend, Muslims in Canada and around the world will celebrate Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of the Sacrifice.

“This important holiday in Islam takes place during the month of Dhul Hijjah, and is meant to reflect Prophet Abraham’s dedication to God. Each year at around this time, about three million Muslims take part in the Hajj – the annual pilgrimage to Mecca that all capable Muslims are expected to perform at least once during their lifetime.

“For many Muslims, Eid-al Adha celebrations will also include attending congregational prayers, making donations to charity, exchanging gifts and sharing festive meals.

“As Minister for Multiculturalism, I wish all Canadian Muslims undertaking the Hajj a safe and happy journey. To everyone celebrating in Canada, I wish you a most joyous Eid al-Adha with friends and family.

    “Eid Mubarak.”

  9. I had a conversation once with a friend, the Jewish atheist, when he was venting about religion.

I responded, But Christianity has the best music by far, from Gregorian chants to Bach, black gospel and Johnny Cash.

He had no answer to that, and I heard him later repeat the argument with a group of people in a different context.

  10. Eeyore says:
“We are rapidly moving in to a phase of all out war.”

I disagree. I see war over seas but the war you’re might be referring to hasn’t hit home yet. We would need daily bombings and murder in western civilization for that to take place. Think of the London bombings WWII.

Western governments are clearly working on the premiss of acceptable losses as a result of Islamic immigration. Remember they are not striving for a peaceful society they are striving for the best return on their investment.

    • This war may turn into a war like WWII with massive armies clashing on the fields and in the streets but for the most part it will be asymmetric with small unit clashes around the world. The murders and bombings in the Western nations are coming and will wake up a lot of people.

      • You’re probably right.
Unless we’re taken out by an EMP attack.

The “Homeland Threats” seminar last week was spell-binding.

One datum: Among people who know something about security, more than 80% of women fear that particular weapon above all others.

I do, have done since I first learned about it. Strange?
