  7. #1 I want her and Judge A. Napolitano on the Supreme Court we need people of their intelligence looking at what the laws say.

Ukraine is reacting to the Russian attempt to reconquer their nation, the Russians are upset that the Ukrainians are gutsy enough to resist.

Having said that I personally think that the governments on both sides of the war are corrupt and both have ample justification for some of their actions, I don’t think there is a good guy and bad guy in this fight. I don’t have enough knowledge about what has been happening to know who has the most justification.

  8. ITAR-TASS – UKRAINE – KHARKOV, April 15. US sends specialists to Ukraine to coordinate activity of its state structures

. Several US agencies – the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Justice and the Department of State – have commissioned their specialists to Ukraine to help coordinate the activity of Ukrainian state structures on issues of security, law enforcement, interior affairs and international contacts, since the Ukrainian authorities are unable to do it themselves, a source in the Ukrainian Security Service said on Tuesday.

<b<“Since Ukraine’s law enforcers have turned out to be unable to ensure intelligence information collection in southeastern regions of Ukraine, now the staff of the US defense attache in Ukraine is engaged in this activity using the diplomatic immunity status,” the source said.

[…]Meanwhile, Alexei Pushkov, the chairman of the international committee of the Russian State Duma lower parliament house, said Brennan’s visit only “proved that Ukraine’s current government is not independent and consults on everything with Washington.” “No wonder that part of the country does not recognize this government,” he said, adding that such contacts were another proof that “the United States was behind the change of regimes in Ukraine, having established a regime that is more beneficial for itself.”

  9. Sounds like Russia is upset that the Ukraine has ask the US for help, anything we do would be more credible if Obama hadn’t destroyed the US military. Our weak military is an open invitation for Russia to create one or more incidents that will force the US to either back down//surrender or start fighting a war.

  11. CIA director in Kiev searching for missing mercenaries

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov revealed that CIA director John Brennan was in Kiev last weekend. One of his advisors told the newspaper Vzgliad that Brennan had not come to oversee the “anti-terrorist” operations conducted by the Ukrainian authorities, but to seek information and rescue twenty Greystone Ltd mercenaries of whom there has been no news.

The coup government in Kiev and its Western allies refer to the democratic political opposition as “terrorists”.

Hundreds of mercenaries working for Greystone Ltd (a subsidiary of Academi, formerly Blackwater) have been present in the country since at least March 4 [1], operating within the regular Ukraine special forces.

After initially denying it, the White House acknowledged that Mr. Brennan had in fact visited Kiev over the weekend.

  12. Yucki if we were still fighting the cold war I would say support Ukraine since we aren’t I agree with you. Although Putin does seem to be trying to reignite the Cold War, I don’t know if he thinks he will destroy the US or if he is trying to get us to do things to help the worlds economy?

Martin I know that you are simply reporting what the Russian are saying and this comment is really directed at them. The head of the CIA wouldn’t be going to a war zone to hunt for missing contractors, any number of lower ranking people could do the same thing. Of course I am not sure what was so important that the head of the CIA was required in Ukraine anyway? People of his rank generally stay out of foreign combat zones to avoid giving the other side a possible propaganda victory if they are killed or injured.

  13. So if a pack of mercenaries is based in the USA and they get in trouble, we’re supposed to go after them, rescue them as if they’re elderly tourists are being abused?

    I don’t think so.

  14. Yes and no, if they are working for us common decency says we take care of them, in practice contractors that are in situations like what is happening in Ukraine know that they will receive little to no support if it hits the fan. Any contractor in Ukraine is now openly working for the US but is probably black (illegal operation that has plausible deniable) they are more grey. They are being paid by the US put most of their orders and operational control will be at least semi under local control. In black operations you expect no support or backup, in grey operations you expect little support or backup.

What I was trying to say is that the head of the CIA has no business in Ukraine, there are lower ranking people who can and should do everything he did while he was there, all he did was provide a propaganda opportunity for the Russians. Of course with Obama and the CPUSA in the White House running things providing propaganda opportunities for our enemies may be their end goal.

  15. Another way to put it is they sent a 4 star General to do a Major or lowers job, possibly even a corporals job.

  16. Yes, I understand your question. Good point.

I just don’t know how I feel about outsourcing wars. And CIA operatives have not always served our interests. Blowback is real.

  17. Yup it is, but this is an imperfect world we have to do the best we can, and if we hire people and don’t back them we will fall as a nation.
