1. Richard pointed out to me an article on how Obama cancelled a program similar to the now-deployed Israeli one, which has a high success rate of knocking down incoming missiles by laser. A far cheaper and probably easier solution than Iron Dome, which I always thought of as a bad idea even if it is a technical marvel.
I didn’t post it immediately because when you read some of the material there is a hint of reason to them. If they can’t get it to work, cut the funding. Fair enough. But then when you add it to this story you start to see a policy of weakening the US military rather than a rational approach to defense spending.
2. Sweden: Police attacked and beaten in Muslim ghetto
When a police patrol went to carry out a drug screening of a suspected gang of youths in the immigrant-dominated Gothenburg district of Bergsjön it ended up with two of the police officers knocked down and beaten with punches and kicks.
Several of the gang managed to flee the scene but two of the gang members, 18 and 21 years old, were apprehended and are now suspects in assault and assaulting a police officer.
3. Gunmen attack Afghan election office in Kabul
The Taliban have launched a gun and bomb attack on an office of the Afghan election commission in Kabul, less than two weeks before presidential polls.
Two policemen were killed and two others wounded in the battle with the insurgents, the interior ministry said, adding that five gunmen were also dead.
There were no immediate reports of casualties among election workers.
The Taliban, who have vowed to disrupt the 5 April vote and are boycotting it, said they carried out the attack.
4. Two killed in shooting at Naval Station Norfolk

The suspect was a civilian who had access to be at Naval Station Norfolk, spokeswoman Terri David said early Tuesday. She said she couldn’t say whether he had permission to be on the USS Mahan, where the male sailor was shot about 11:20 p.m. Monday.

The flag of Pakistan was raised at the Town Hall this morning (Friday 21 March) to commemorate Pakistan Day.
The flag was raised by Mayor of Rochdale Councillor Peter Rush. The ceremony was attended by local dignitaries including Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk, Leader of the Council, Councillor Colin Lambert and local councillors.
Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE, who arranges the flag raising every year, said: “It is about our heritage and providing information to the local community. It is also about our youngsters as well because they are the future.”

What caught my attention to the socialists playing with fire, was the newspaper’s distortion of the origin of Pakistan:

This paper informs the reader Pakistan was ceeded from the British. It was not, it was ceeded from the Hindus of India and over a million people died. As things stand I would tend to agree with Don, however, I do have faith in my countrymen. I have said before that historians a hundred years from now will call this era the ‘Age of Madness’. All it will take is an incident to occur that will shake the lethargy out of the people and the shear insanity of political correctness and multiculturalism will be exposed for the national suicide that it is.
The killing of the British soldier in Woolwich is, perhaps, the last act that will be tolerated by anyone of British stock. The British, throughout history, have always been reluctant to enter into conflict without good cause but there is only so much anyone is willing to put up with. Once that point is reached the British have historically shown their capabilities. As Wellington said….. “I don’t know what effect these men will have on the enemy, but by God, they terrify me”.
Enoch Powell, during a televised interview in 1968, said ..”Subsequent governments will ignore the problem until they can no longer ignore it”…. I am officially a ‘senior citizen’ but I have a feeling I will live to see the day when the problem is no longer ignored.

Saudi man ordered to leave Canada after choking, threatening daughter
A Saudi man who admitted to choking and threatening his daughter has been ordered by a Newfoundland judge to leave Canada or face arrest.
Provincial Court Judge James Walsh handed down a suspended sentence with a year’s probation Tuesday on condition that 56-year-old Khalaf Alshaek leave the country immediately or otherwise face arrest.
Alshaek reportedly attacked his 30-year-old daughter after she carried on a secret relationship with a Newfoundland man, whom she married earlier this month.

Father ordered to leave Canada after choking daughter
A Saudi Arabian man has been ordered to leave the country after he attacked his daughter at a Ches’s Fish & Chips restaurant in St. John’s last week.
Khalaf Alshaek, 56, threatened to kill his daughter while at the Freshwater Road restaurant after she asked permission to marry a Newfoundlander who converted to Islam.
Alshaek and his daughter then went back to the family home, where he choked her several times.
His daughter, 30, went into the washroom to text her boyfriend, who happened to be at the police station laying charges against Alshaek for the earlier incident at the restaurant.
Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary went to the home and arrested him.
The court was told on Monday that Alshaek felt that his daughter brought shame on his family by not asking permission to have the relationship.
In court on Tuesday, Alshaek pleaded guilty to assaulting and threatening his daughter.
He was sentenced to six days time served, and ordered to leave Canada.
Judge James Walsh also put him on 12-months probation, which would prevent him from having contact with his daughter.
Alshaek was emotional in court and said he, his wife and son wanted to return to Saudi Arabia.
He was in the province to chaperone his daughter while she attended Memorial University,
It turns out, his daughter had already married. Alshaek said through an interpreter that if he’d known that, it would have changed everything.
Alshaek said he would not longer have been responsible for disciplining his daughter — that would fall to the husband.
He was put on a plane today, bound for the mainland. Alshaek should be back in Saudi Arabia by Friday.
The daughter will stay in the province with her new husband.

On November 5, supporters of Palestinian group Islamic Jihad had marched in black military gear with fake automatic weapons, waving flags and offering Nazi-style salutes. Banners with images of Palestinian suicide bombers decorated the campus’s main square.

Then once we have cleaned the filth from Egypt why do we not turn our attention to a host of Islamic groups here in North America who take their marching orders from the Muslim Brotherhood, groups like the Muslim Students Association, the Muslim Students Union, CAIR-CAN and CAIR, why doesn’t our provincial and federal ministers of justice, in conjunction with the minister of public safety arrest the members of these groups, these Muslim vipers, and stand them all on trial on charges of treason and sedition.
Or our governments can ignore the treasonous Muslims and the citizens can form groups to take care of of these traitors in a manner that will not see them walking our streets ever again, in a manner that speaks of an unmistakable sense of permanence and finality.
