1. Zero Hedge: Forget Russia Dumping U.S. Treasuries … Here’s the REAL Economic Threat

Russia threatened to dump its U.S. treasuries if America imposed sanctions regarding Russia’s action in the Crimea.

Zero Hedge argues that Russia has already done so.

But veteran investor Jim Sinclair argues that Russia has a much scarier financial attack which Russia can use against the U.S.

Specifically, Sinclair says that if Russia accepts payment for oil and gas in any currency other than the dollar – whether it’s gold, the Euro, the Ruble, the Rupee, or anything else – then the U.S. petrodollar system will collapse:

2. Government intervenes at school ‘taken over’ by Muslim radicals

The Birmingham school at the centre of an alleged campaign of “Islamisation” by Muslim radicals is to be placed in “special measures” by the Government’s education watchdog in a move that could see its head teacher and governors removed.

Park View, previously rated “outstanding” by Ofsted, will be downgraded to “inadequate”, the lowest possible score, in the category of leadership and management, senior education sources said.

3. Geert Wilders, unapologetic about comment.

(Funny how no one is asking the South African government to apologize for chanting, ‘kill the white man’ dancing around with machine guns in front of the president. Or asking Zimbabwe to apologize for throwing out all the white farmers with no compensation. Or Saudi Arabia for having two cities where no non-muslims are even allowed to enter at all or practice their religion in any way within the country as a whole. But asking to reduce the number of immigrants who typically belong to a culture that is parasitical and seeks the destruction of the host nation, people and culture in Holland, somehow that warrants extreme contrition and prostrations)

4. Friends, family doubt arrested Dearborn man was on way to join Hizballah

(Two comments. 1. Dearborn is likely a hotbed of anti-democratic activities and 2. Isn’t his family lucky that, at least for the moment, the US is a democratic state with genuine rule of law based on evidence tilted in favor of the defendant and not the sharia shit-hole that they and their co-religionists are trying to create in the USA, where confession is extracted through torture and the sentence is passed by men trained only in koran)

5. Pro-Russian forces storm Ukrainian base in Crimea

(According to Nina L, our Russian translator, this base is not actually in Crimea and this event is highly problematic and indicative of greater ambitions on the part of Russia. I expect to have more, including a translation of the video this evening)

BELBEK AIR BASE, Crimea (AP) — Ukraine’s armed forces took what may prove to be one of their final stands Saturday in Crimea, as pro-Russian forces stormed and seized control of an air force base amid a barrage of gunfire and explosions.

6. Black students more likely to be suspended – even in preschool

(Damn ABC for this one. How long till this story becomes a major data-point for Eric Holder to pass more genuinely racist laws against white people?)

The racial disparities in American education, from access to high-level classes and experienced teachers to discipline, were highlighted in a report released Friday by the Education Department’s civil rights arm.

The suspensions – and disparities – begin at the earliest grades.

Black children represent about 18 percent of children in preschool programs in schools, but they make up almost half of the preschoolers who are suspended more than once, the report said. Six percent of the nation’s districts with preschools reported suspending at least one preschool child.

Thank you Shabnam, DP111, M, Fjordman and others. Why do I think this is gonna be a long day

  1. Turkey ISTANBUL – Sunday March 23 2014

An aerial drone view shows hundreds of thousands of people gathered in central Istanbul on Sunday to celebrate Newroz at an event organised by the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and People’s Democratic Congress (HDK). Colourful flags of the BDP, HDK, PKK and NGOs can be seen, as well as banners of PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The motto for the Kurdish New Year’s celebrations was ‘Freedom for Ocalan’, ‘Status to Kurds’. Celebrations began with speeches from BDP parliamentarians and the lighting of the Newroz fire. Women were wearing colourful outfits in the style of traditional Kurdish custom, while almost all people were wearing scarves in the three colours red, green and yellow, symbolising the Kurdish flag.

  2. Could Transnistria be the next Crimea?

Nato’s top military commander on Sunday that Russia has a large force on Ukraine’s eastern border and is worried it could pose a threat to Moldova’s separatist Transnistria region.

The warning comes a day after Russian troops, using armoured vehicles, automatic weapons and stun grenades, seized Belbek, the last military facilities under Ukrainian control in Crimea.

“The (Russian) force that is at the Ukrainian border now to the east is very, very sizeable and very, very ready,” Nato’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe Philip Breedlove said on Sunday.

[…]Mr Breedlove said Nato was very concerned about the threat to Transnistria, which declared independence from Moldova in 1990 but has not been recognised by any United Nations member state.

About 30 per cent of its half million population is ethnic Russian, which is the mother tongue of an overall majority.

  4. Hello there…..its me again….Don Laird……

I think the most important story of all here is the pending collapse of the US Petrodollar.

Saddam Hussein was moving away from the American dollar and was trying to trade in gold or Euros. Argument can be made for this being in part the road that led to the Iraq invasion, his hostility in Kuwait aside.

Gaddafi was in the process of creating a new African gold dinar.

While Gaddafi and others may have been the victims of a destabilization in the Middle East in order to centralize Muslim power the fight over a global base currency has always been a part of that.

Now the US is bankrupt and militarily weakened, with Obama gutting the military further with each passing day.

I would think now would be the time for the Jackals to move in and finish the United States.

Of course this begs the question as to how many North American have stocks of precious metals?

Further, if there truly was a collapse, it would make the Great Depression seem like a picnic.

  5. #2 ” Oldknow’s highly successful non-Muslim head teacher has been driven from her post for resisting this “Islamising agenda”, this newspaper has learnt.

The head of another successful primary school, Springfield, received death threats, had his car tyres slashed and is under “non-stop attack” by radical governors, according to parents, other governors and staff at the school.”

Tell me again, it’s the EDL who are the Far Right, right? And Muslims, like Conmunists who actually kill, and enjoy killing for their world domination, are just militants?

Picking off the population one by one. First Common Purpose and then Higher Purpose.

  6. DonL –
I bet you’re right. This is by far the biggest threat to us: no muss, no fuss.
That petrodollar is teetering. It would be so easy for Putin, it would even reduce transaction costs for European buyers. Nobody explained financial markets to MBrother-POTUS?

You don’t threaten a former KGB chief. Ever. Even if you have muscle, you can’t rattle this guy. He has an enemies list, assets with know-how, and a long memory.

Obm should take a look at before & after pictures of Viktor Yushcenko, a former President of Ukraine who survived an attempted assassination by dioxin.

Remember, too, that Putin’s responsible for murdering Alexander Litvinenko, a dissident in exile in London. While other enemies on the hate list were shot down in cold blood, Litvnenko died a slow, agonizing death from acute polonium-210 radiation poisoning. Investigators from the US, Uk, and Germany tracked procurement and delivery straight to Uncle Vlad.

Don’t bait this Russian bear. He’s proven his willingness to use nuclear terror.

  7. Martin, allaha-ha-ha !!
Revolting stuff, I’d rather see heads cut off & corpse close-ups than watch the creation of more enemies.

  8. Lebanon clashes: Violence in Beirut among Syria rivals (BBC, March 23, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-26704350

“Fresh clashes have erupted in Lebanon’s capital Beirut among supporters and opponents of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Lebanese troops were deployed after a number of casualties were reported in a predominantly Sunni Muslim area.

The clashes come after more than a week of factional violence in the northern city of Tripoli that has left 25 dead.

The fighting there is between supporters of Syria’s rebels and those backing Mr Assad’s Alawite sect….”

  10. Egypt’s Minya criminal court sentences 529 Brotherhood supporters to death

In the largest set of death sentences handed to defendants in the modern history of Egypt, court orders capital punishment for 529 supporters of ousted president Morsi over murder of police officer

The Upper Egypt court sentenced on Monday 529 supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood to death on charges of murdering Mostafa El-Attar, the deputy commander of the Matay district police station in Minya, during riots in the aftermath of the dispersal of the Rabaa sit-in in August. The court also acquitted 16 other defendants.

Only 147 defendants were present at the hearing, while the rest are on the run and being tried in absentia, according to Aswat Masriya.

According to state news agency MENA, Morsi supporters are accused of killing the police officer and attempting the murder of two others, as well as attacking public property, torching the Matay police station, seizing police weapons and disrupting public order.

The trial began on Saturday with the defence lawyers demanding the recusal of the judges’ panel and its replacement with another, “unbiased”, panel. Their request was rejected.

On Monday, the court issued its sentence — the biggest capital punishment verdict in the history of the Egyptian judiciary — without hearing the defence arguments.

The defendants’ papers will be transferred for perusal to the office of the grand mufti, the country’s official authority for issuing religious edicts, as Egyptian law stipulates that all death sentences be reviewed by the mufti for ratification.

The court has set 28 April for the final verdict to be passed, once the grand mufti pronounces his final say.

The law allows the verdict to be appealed.

  11. Don

    I agree with you.

Russia has not done anything really provocative. The stupidity of Ukraine’s leaders, egged on by the West, has handed Crimea to Russia on a plate. Putin, should at the very least, send all of them individually a big “Thank you” card.

More news: RT claims that some of Ukraine’s leaders wish to go nuclear. If this is the case, then I don’t see how Russia can allow Ukraine to develop nuclear weapons. Russia has ample reasons., as well as the precedent of the US and Israel leaving all options open, when it comes to Iran on the same issue.

Since the time of the liberation of Kuwait or the Bosnian war, I have never thought that Muslims would be grateful to the US and UK for creating a state for them. The reason is that Muslims believe that the US did not help them but Allah did. It was Allah that influenced the minds of US and UK to support Islam and Muslims, and so no gratitude is required ti those they deem to be mere instruments of Allah’s will.

When looking at the way our leaders bow to every insane sharia wish of Muslims in the West, I sometimes think that they have a point.

  13. NEWFOUNDLAND ; Saudi man accused of assaulting daughter for marrying outside religion

A 56-year-old man from Saudi Arabia has been charged with assault and uttering threats to kill his daughter after she married a non-Muslim man from Newfoundland. Khalaf Alshaek was arrested after allegations that he choked his daugther. He is in Canada on a student visa and is being held in custody until Monday.

  14. Don L, Yucki the collapse of the dollar is what Obama wants, he wants to collapse the US and let other nations cut us up into little pieces. What he is forgetting is that if they collapse the US dollar and by extension the US economy it will collapse the entire worlds economy.

Obama may have been selling off the US gold in the case that type of collapse occurs since the only monetary standard left would be the precious metal standard.

  15. Martin,
    You are a sweetheart.
That’s on top your generosity, your search everywhere for brilliant items to share with everyone here.
    Thank-you

  16. Richard, I hadn’t thought of it, but you bring up the idea that Obama et al. must have been hoarding gold since he first took office. His personal wealth will be staggering by the time he leaves. Money like that in the hands of a man like that is really frightening.

  17. Yucki taking a wild guess I would say that close to a trillion of the multiple trillions Obama has been spending has ended up off shore in bank accounts he controls. I could be wrong but it is at least billions and given his leftist origins it is probably close to a trillion.

  18. oooooooo- A lot in gold, too.
That’ll make his personal fortune exceed that of many countries. The power of that is staggering.

  19. I bookmarked it, thanks.

I was close but wrong: it’s “Ukraine” that comes from root meanng “border region” or “frontier”. Comparable to “march” in Wales/Brit history.
