1. Italian MEP feels that European Parliament attempts to punish the Swiss for failing to commit suicide by curbing mass immigration is wrong. He is thrown out of the chamber for his protest and called “far right wing”, the usual accusation for not being a full on communist these days.

2. Sentence has been passed on Lee Rigby’s killers and court statements made.

3. Ukraine Crisis: Russian Troops Moving across Crimea

(Obama must have drawn a red line against this, giving Russia an effective free hand. If He ever draws a red line against bombing Canada, it will be time to start reinforcing the ceilings)

4. Egypt: 26 sentenced to death over Suez ‘terror plot’

The sentencing comes a day after the new Prime Minister designate, Ibrahim Mahlab, vowed he would “crush terrorism in all the corners of the country”.

Mr Mahlab has been put in charge of forming a new government following Monday’s surprise resignation of interim Prime Minister Hazem Beblawi and his cabinet.

5. Terror threat remains ‘substantial’, Syria returnees are cause for concern –

The threat level remains high because of continuing concerns about the likely action of people returning from fighting on behalf of rebel forces in Syria, the NCTV says.

Around 100 Dutch nationals have so far gone to Syria, of whom about 70 remain in the country, the NCTV says. Some 20 have since returned to the Netherlands and 10 have been killed.

6. Teenage Jihadists, Car Burnings and Muslim-Only Cemeteries

Thank you Richard, M, Fjordman, many others. Again, more to come. What a shame.

  1. Syrian forces ‘kill many rebels’ in Eastern Ghouta (BBC, Feb 26, 2014)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-26356464
“Syrian government forces have ambushed and killed a large number of Islamist rebel fighters in the eastern outskirts of the capital Damascus, reports say. Syrian state media says 175 died. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says it has received reports that about 70 died in the fighting in the Eastern Ghouta region. The Observatory also reported that about 3,300 people had been killed in fighting between rebel factions since the start of the year. “Some 3,300 people have been killed ever since the start of fighting on January 3 between the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant on one side, and Islamist and other groups on the other,” it said. The deaths came in “car and (other) bomb attacks, suicide blasts and fighting”, it added…”

  2. FBI Never Revealed It Had Al Qaeda Mole Who Met Bin Laden (nbcnews, Feb 26, 2014)
    http://nbcnews.to/1frLH15
“The FBI had a mole inside al Qaeda who met with Osama bin Laden eight years prior to 9/11 and knew he planned to finance terror attacks, but the bureau declined to tell Congressional investigators or the 9/11 Commission about the mole, sources involved in the case told NBC News. The mole, NBC News has learned exclusively, was a Los Angeles-based “driver and confidante” of the “Blind Sheikh,” Omar Abdel-Rahman, now in prison for his role in planning the original 1993 terror attack on New York’s World Trade Center. Information from the mole helped stop a bin Laden-backed plot against a Masonic Lodge in L.A. in the mid-‘90s, according to courtroom testimony by Ed Curran, who was the assistant special agent in charge of the FBI’s L.A. office at the time. “It was the only source I know in the bureau where we had a source right in al Qaeda, directly involved,” Curran told the court, according to excerpts of testimony published by the Washington Times. He also testified that the informant was “tight, close” with al Qaeda leadership … The testimony by FBI agents in the suit was at times embarrassing — with senior FBI officials admitting they did not know a Shiite from a Sunni, and insisting that Arabic language skills were not crucial…”

  3. #3 some trucks move to other Russian bases inside the Crimea, probably to beef up security and this is labelled negatively. They are already stationed in the Crimea and it is made to look like they are staging some kind of pre emptive invasion.

On a normal day, driving along a motorway, I do see convoys of military trucks, but I don’t call it an invasion force. Put into perspective, this is bad reporting.

  4. 2. read all the information given. Watched all three video’s i still do not know what sentence they got. Any hints?

  5. – Ox AO

Same here. I kept following that time line, and it kept referring to the sentence but never actually stated it. Then it gave contradictory statements. I think they got life…:)

  6. thanks Chris Jones. this is annoying to read.

Assume he got “life” in the US. Life means a 3 to 7 years depending on the State.

I found another source looks like one got 40 years the other got ‘whole life’ sentence.:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8EjIrlYeG8

Now we have to figure out if their system is similar to the US and they will be out in 5 years or not?

  7. Both got life. One got life with no possibility of release so in this case he will actually be incarcerated until he dies – a very unusual sentence as most lifers are released after ten years or more.
The second lifer has the possibility of parole, and hence release, but he must serve at least 45 years before being considered for release. Again this is an unusually long sentence in the UK.

  8. Re: Italian MEP … is thrown out of the chamber

Not quite sure why he left; surely as an MEP he has as much right to be there as all the other MEPs? Why didn’t he tell the chairman to jump in the lake? Plus, why are so many chairs empty?
Is it possibly that the MEPs are out enjoying the spring weather instead of doing their jobs?
So many questions, so few answers.
