2. Records Prove Muslim Brotherhood Delegates Skipped Airport Inspections

Newly released records confirm a 2012 Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) report that the State Department cleared the way for a visiting delegation of Muslim Brotherhood officials to enter the country without undergoing routine inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents.

The April 2012 visit came before the Muslim Brotherhood’s candidate was elected Egypt’s president, although the Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) had won a plurality of seats in parliamentary elections. The expedited entry is known as a “port courtesy” normally reserved for high-ranking visiting government officials and dignitaries.

3. 9 wounded by car bomb in Russia’s Dagestan

MAKHACHKALA, Russia (AP) — Police say nine people have been wounded in a bombing in Russia’s southern province of Dagestan.

Fatima Ubaidatova, a spokeswoman for the local police in Dagestan, said unidentified attackers on Friday fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a restaurant in the provincial capital, Makhachkala. No one was hurt, but when police arrived at the spot, a bomb placed in a car parked nearby went off. The explosion wounded nine people, including two police officers.

(Good thing they didn’t try this in the US. The perps might have had to pay for the damage they did out of their government benefits)

4. Suicide bomber kills 15, mainly foreigners, in Kabul restaurant attack

KABUL (Reuters) – Up to 15 people, mainly foreigners, were killed in Afghanistan on Friday when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside a popular Lebanese restaurant in the capital Kabul, police said.

Islamist Taliban insurgents claimed responsibility for the assault in the upscale Wazir Akbar Khan district, which hosts many embassies and restaurants catering for expatriates.

9. Prime Minister Harper’s director of communications slams the National Council of Canadian Muslims for “documented ties to a terrorist organization such as Hamas”

[…] In order to understand the context of the PMO’s remarks, it is helpful to go back to the origins of CAIR-CAN. CAIR-CAN was established as a branch of the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) that had itself been founded by three leaders of a Hamas front group in the United States.

In their answers to FAQs provided when CAIR-CAN became NCCM, NCCM leaders completely falsified history and claimed that “There was never any operating or funding relationship between CAIR.CAN and CAIR.”)

The operating relationship between a Hamas front group called Islamic Association of Palestine, CAIR and CAIR-CAN is presented in the following chronology:

June 1994 – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) was established by three leaders of the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP): Nihad Awad, Omar Ahmad and Rafeeq Jaber. The IAP was a front group for Hamas in the United States in the eighties and nineties. In a video archived by the Investigative Project on Terrorism, Nihad Awad expresses his support for Hamas at Barry University in 1994. In 2002, an American judge presiding the case Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development v. Ashcroft concluded that the “Islamic Association for Palestine (“IAP”), has acted in support of Hamas.”

Thank you M, Fjordman, TL, Point De Bascule and all who sent in links. I’m still trying to figure out the ‘Tard in a water-pipe’ story. Yes, there is a hookah joke there potentially, but I find it disturbing how it is reported. As if it was some kind of accident.

  1. Two Canadians among 16 killed in Kabul suicide bombing

Two Canadians were among 16 people killed Friday when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside a Kabul restaurant filled with foreigners and affluent Afghans

Security officials said the assault began with the suicide bomber detonating his explosives at the front door of the restaurant, located in an area housing several embassies — including Canada’s — non-governmental organizations and the homes and offices of Afghan officials. As chaos ensued, the two other attackers entered through the kitchen and began shooting. They were later killed by security guards, said Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi.

Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird would not identify the Canadians out of respect for the victims’ families.
