OTTAWA — The Federal Court has ruled federal cabinet minister Jason Kenney was within his rights to stop funding one of Canada’s largest Arab groups over concerns it appeared to support terrorist groups and anti-Semitism.

(Freedom of speech means they get to say it but there is no excuse for publicly funding it. Supporting terror however should get them arrested)

  1. Kerry proposes return of 80,000 Palestinian refugees to Israel

Ramallah: US Secretary of State John Kerry proposed to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas the return of 80,000 Palestinian refugees to Israel, a well-informed Palestinian official said on Monday.

Kerry’s proposal on the return of Palestinian refugees was part of his ideas presented to the Palestinian side to reach a framework peace agreement, Xinhua quoted a senior official of the Palestinian government as saying.

He added that during their meetings, Abbas wants to increase the number of Palestinian refugees returning to Israel to 200,000, and the demand is still under discussion with Kerry.

As for the issue of Jerusalem, the official said, “Kerry’s recent ideas focus on handing over parts of Jerusalem to the Palestinian National Authority and that Jordan will have the jurisdiction on holy sites and places in the city.”

  2. The US troops in South Korea are a trip line, they are suppose to prevent North Korea from doin anything because it would suck the US into the war, nice theory but when you have a President like Obama even fat boy Kim realizes he is weak and will do all he can to keep from responding.

  3. EGYPT – Trial of former Egypt president Mohammed Morsi adjourned to 1 February after fog halts helicopter flight bringing him to court

The trial of Egypt’s former Islamist president on charges of inciting murder was adjourned on Wednesday until next month, after bad weather prevented a helicopter flight from bringing Mohammed Morsi to court.

The helicopter, which was to fly Morsi from a prison near the Mediterranean city of Alexandria to the court in eastern Cairo, could not take off because of thick fog, according to Interior Minister Mohammed Ibrahim. Judge Ahmed Sabry Youssef adjourned the proceedings until 1 February.

Several dozen Morsi supporters clashed with security forces on Wednesday outside the court, a makeshift lecture hall at a Cairo police academy. The Interior Ministry, which is in charge of police, said 17 protesters were arrested. Another 15 pro-Morsi protesters were arrested in the nearby district of Nasr City, a stronghold of the Brotherhood, said Ibrahim, the minister.

  4. RUSSIA – MOSCOW – Cathedral-Climbing Muslim Preacher Sent to Psychiatric Hospital

A man who climbed on the roof of the Kazan Cathedral on Red Square and shouted a Muslim call to prayer on Russian Orthodox Christmas Eve has been sent to a psychiatric hospital, a news report said.

The man, whom tabloid news website LifeNews identified as a Guinea native who is married to a Moscow woman, appeared to be trying to preach something to the crowd below during his Monday appearance, but most of his words were inaudible.

Police and medical teams took the man to a psychiatric hospital to be treated for schizophrenia, an unidentified law-enforcement official said.

The man has a history of psychiatric disorders related to unrest in his impoverished West African homeland, LifeNews reported. He received refugee status in Russia in 2010.

  6. 1/ There is no good reason to have Muslim Arabs in Canada to begin with, let alone to give them federal funding they will use to advance their agenda, no matter what the money officially is for. A few minutes browsing CAF’s website is enough tell anyone that. ‘“The backlash” to September the 11th started with acts of hate and racism directed at Arab and Muslim Canadians on the streets of our cities, in schoolyards and workplaces, from neighbours and strangers alike, from vandals who attacked places of worship,’etc. ad nauseam. ‘ Arab and Muslim Canadians were left standing on their own, having to explain themselves and prove their loyalty; defend their religion and demonstrate its goodness…’ ‘the victimization of Arabs and Muslims post September the 11th’ blah blah blah…

  7. don c do you know the real reason the US still has troops in South Korea? It is to prevent South Korea from taking North Korea and touching off a war with China.
