1. Rotherham Council to be sued over child sexual exploitation

A solicitor representing women who were allegedly groomed for sex when underage by gangs of men in Rotherham has begun serving claims on the council for failing to tackle the problem, despite knowing about it for years.

David Greenwood has started action on behalf of a handful of women, but is currently gathering evidence in a total of 11 cases, all of which are expected to result in legal action against the council.

Action is also being contemplated against South Yorkshire Police.

5. ‘Only’ 1,067 vehicles set ablaze on New Year’s Eve in France

(This new French ‘tradition’ of destroying other peoples property on New Years Eve in France could be stopped in a year by more freedom and not more police or more state interference. Just allow people to stand guard over their cars from a window for a couple of New Years Eve’s with a camera and a rifle and by the third year the tradition would stop)

I hope the police get sued too – in fact I hope that both the council and the police are sued so badly that they’ll never forget it. I hope that there are sackings and public humiliations.

I want these cowards to know that their precious attempts to protect themselves from labels of racism and fear of Muslims has actually put them in a worse situation. I want people to know that they are going to have to pick whose side they are on.
Do they support political correctness and thus protect themselves from Liberal accusations, or do they support the right way and protect themselves from the wrath of the ordinary decent folk who have had enough?

  4. Czech police find weapons at Palestinian mission

PRAGUE (Reuters) – Czech investigators found unregistered weapons at the Palestinian diplomatic mission in Prague, police said on Thursday, a day after the ambassador was killed in a mysterious explosion after opening a safe.

The Czech foreign ministry said it was concerned by the discovery, which it called a possible breach of diplomatic rules, and would demand an explanation.

“We have gathered many pieces of evidence, we secured weapons that will be subject to expert evaluation,” Prague police chief Martin Vondrasek said on Czech Radio.

“We can say the weapons have not gone through a registration process in the Czech Republic,” he said, without revealing the quantity and type.

The Czech foreign ministry said it was concerned by the discovery. It said diplomats’ weapons were subject to local laws on arms, which require registration and licensing.

“The ministry is concerned that among evidence…were weapons not registered in the Czech Republic,” the ministry said in a statement.

“In such case, the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations may have been breached and we will demand an explanation,” it added, referring to the international rules that govern the activities of diplomats and embassies.
