1. It would appear that US justice’s Eric Holder should be the one in jail for a hate crime based on what appears to be race based selective enforcement.

2. Minister: Muslim ‘inbreeding’ in Britain is causing massive surge in birth defects

Referring to the culture of Muslim arranged marriages between cousins, environment minister Phil Woolas said: “If you have a child with your cousin the likelihood is there’ll be a genetic problem.”

Mr Woolas, whose views were supported today by medical experts, said the practice did not extend to all Muslim communities and that most cases occur in families from rural Pakistan, where up to half of all marriages are thought to involve first cousins.

According to today’s Sunday Times, the minister, who represents Oldham East and Saddleworth said: “If you talk to any primary care worker they will tell you that levels of disability among the . . . Pakistani population are higher than the general population. And everybody knows it’s caused by first cousin marriage.

(It is interesting that he lets himself off the hook by saying its a cultural thing [ibid.], not a religious one. So he sacrifices cultural relativism to appear not to attack religion. Somewhat similar to how the UK refers to Muslim rapists and criminals as ‘Asian’ in order to appear not racist by actually being racist)

5. Phyllis Chesler: Israel vs.Islamists: Setting the Record Straight

[…] Jesus was not a “Palestinian.” He was a Jew, some say he was a rabbi, and that the Last Supper was a Pesach seder. The attempt to appropriate Jesus as a victimized “Palestinian” by the very Muslims who are slaughtering Christians all over the Middle East and who have driven Arab Christians out of Bethlehem is typical, disgusting, and must continually be exposed. 1. #1 Holder should be in jail for many crimes, not just this one.

#9 Note how the people decide to take care of themselves and the politicians freak out.

  2. Eeyore, just came across this, it is old so you may have come across it before. As your resident Christian zealot it is a very powerful testament, and it does to me make a very compelling case for Christianity, but it also provides some very interesting insights into muslim thinking, philosophy and aspirations. Its well worth watching.

Police in Istanbul stage crackdown on protesters denouncing Turkish gov’t over graft scandal

The police have staged a crackdown on protesters who took to the streets in Istanbul Dec. 27 to denounce the corruption and bribery allegations against the government over a graft probe that has shaken the country since last week.

In scenes that were reminiscent of the nationwide Gezi protests, riot police fired tear gas and water cannons against a group of protesters who were attempting to gather in Istanbul’s iconic ?stiklal Avenue in the Taksim area.

Police also fired rubber bullets against protesters. Many ambulances and fire trucks were seen entering the pedestrian road following the crackdown. Daily Radikal reporter covering the protest was among those shot by rubber bullets. She is said to be fine and could continue reporting from the scene.

Protesters, who gathered upon a call that spread via social media, urged the government to resign over the accusations that led to the resignations of three ministers.

Protesters chanted “Everywhere bribery, everywhere corruption,” reminiscent of the slogan “Everywhere Taksim, everywhere resistance” that became the motto of the Gezi protests.

The sons of former Interior Minister Muammer Güler and former Economy Minister Zafer Ça?layan, who handed over their portfolios Dec. 26 after resigning, were among the 24 people who have been formally arrested under the corruption investigation.

  4. Phil – Thank-you so much for posting the “good tidings”.
I couldn’t watch butt uglies anymore. Saw your post, thought to give it a minute. Then I was riveted.

NUTSHELL for EVERYBODY: Extraordinary man describes escape from Iran & his own Muslim mental straight-jacket. Ayatollahs march in, blow off the taqiyya, & every sucker who bought it is doomed. From death-row to a community of exiles in Turkey, he earns a doctorate in comparative philosophy & converts to Christianity. Told with humor & humility, simply delightful.

The G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — AND Jesus, of course — bids us to choose life over death. Through-out the entire Bible, repeatedly.Which is why I’m fighting that monstrous death cult with all my heart, and with all my soul, and with all my might.

  5. Official: 4 U.S. military personnel detained by Libya

Washington (CNN) — Four U.S. military personnel are being held by the Libyan government, a senior U.S. Defense Department official told CNN on Friday.

The four are believed to be held by the ministry of the interior, the official, with knowledge of the situation, said on condition of anonymity.

It was not immediately known why the American personnel were in Libyan custody. “We are seeking to further ascertain the facts and ensure their release,” the official said.

The four were in Libya “augmenting security at the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli,” the official said.

A second person — a senior U.S. official — also told CNN that the four military personnel had been detained. That official also spoke on condition of anonymity.

  6. Libya releases 4 US military personnel detained earlier – US defense official

Four US military personnel detained by the Libyan government have been released, US officials have confirmed.

A US Defense Department official said the four American service members have been freed, according to Reuters. They were reportedly being held by Libya’s Ministry of the Interior in the town of Sabratha. “All four (have been) released,” the official said.

The reason for their detainment and their current whereabouts were not immediately known.

The US State Department previously confirmed the detainment.

“We can confirm that four US military personnel are currently being held in Libyan government custody,” said Jen Psaki, State Department spokesperson. “We are seeking to further ascertain the facts and ensure their release. We are in touch with Libyan officials on this issue.”

A senior US Defense Department official told CNN that the four were being held by the Interior Ministry. The service members were reportedly in Libya “augmenting security at the US Embassy in Tripoli,” the official added. The four are believed to have been reviewing potential evacuation routes for diplomats at the time of detainment, according to The New York Times.

Photos of two American passports and embassy ID cards were posted on Twitter, supposedly related to the detentions, the Times reported.

The original detainment occurred in a town southwest of the Roman ruins, at Sabratha, according to the Times. The town is approximately a one-hour drive from Tripoli.

The detentions followed an announcement by the United States in November that it would increase support for Libya’s security forces, which have been overwhelmed by violence and unrest since the death of Muammar Gaddafi.

Martin’s Moronic Muslims Marching videos are so fucking dispiriting. What are these people doing in Canada? There is no getting over the stupidity that has gone into creating such a monstrous, dangerous, completely unnecessary problem. ‘Every day is Ashura. Every land is Karbala.’ No it’s not, it’s fucking Christmas and it’s fucking Ottawa. Unbelievable.

  10. Yucki, thanks, I was riveted too. Christianity is the fastest growing religion in the world thanks mainly to three countries: Russia, China and Iran. Also Georgia. It seems that people who have suffered great oppression realise what truth and freedom are, and are even prepared to risk death to achieve it. I only hope that we don’t have to suffer as those countries have over the last century before the truth dawns on us.

  11. Phil Christianity is strong in the rural areas, those who spend a lot of time in the outdoors tend to be believers, and usually strong believers.

  12. Phil and yucki, I enjoyed listening to Dr. Daniel, thanks for the suggestion. Good to hear from someone who’s come over from the dark side instead of going the other way for a change.
