2. Man rapes 10 of his family; films them

And then followed the gory details. His sister-in-law [wife’s sister] came forward to say how she was raped by him and how he had filmed the act and threatened her to make the picture public if she were to tell anyone about it.

The woman also alleged that her two young daughters were raped by him.

Later, many more women of his family reported to police about being raped by him and claimed that they had kept quiet fearing his backlash and fearing for their reputation

(Good thing they got rid of Morsi or else all these women would have to be stoned to death for adultery)

6. Hezbollah chief accuses Saudi intelligence of being behind Iran Embassy bombings in Beirut

The leader of Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah group has accused Saudi Arabia of being behind last month’s two suicide bombings that targeted the Iranian Embassy in Beirut.

Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah’s comments mark the first time Hezbollah has openly accused the kingdom, and marks a sharp escalation in the Shiite Muslim group’s rhetoric.

  1. Saudi bans male doctors from checking dead women

Decision followed demand by the Kingdom’s top Islamic scholar

Saudi Arabia has told its hospitals to prevent male doctors from checking dead women following a demand by the Gulf Kingdom’s top Islamic scholar.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Shaikh, Saudi Arabia’s grand Mufti, sent a letter to the health ministry asking it to ensure male doctors at all hospitals in the country of 29 million people will not be allowed to check dead women either in medical or criminal cases.

<b<“The Mufti made clear that the body of a woman whether alive or dead must be respected and should not be seen by males,” Arar newspaper said.

It quoted health ministry undersecretary Abdul Aziz Al Humaidi as saying the ministry had sent a circular to all hospitals upon receiving the Mufti’s letter.

“We have asked all hospitals and medical centres in the Kingdom to ensure that dead women would be checked only by female doctors,” he said.

  4. Couldn’t get the Joe McCarthy link, but didn’t really need to, the louder the left squeals, the more vitriolic the attacks, the nearer the mark they are, until even conservative commentators feel obliged to preface any comment with ‘I didn’t agree with Joe McCarthy’s methods, but’ – ‘I don’t like Sarah Palin, but’. Works every time, they soil the ‘brand’ so much that even their supporters feel obliged to distance themselves

  5. Suicide attack targets Yemen defence ministry

A suicide bomber and several gunmen launched an attack on the Yemeni defence ministry in the capital Sanaa on Thursday, killing at least 25 people and wounding dozens more, military sources have said.

At least 25 people were killed and dozens more wounded in a suicide bombing and gun battle at the Yemeni defence ministry in the capital Sanaa on Thursday, according to sources inside the complex.

In one of the most serious attacks in the country in the past 18 months, a car laden with explosives first rammed the sprawling complex before gunmen stormed the compound, witnesses said.

“A car bomb driven by a suicide bomber forced its way into the western entrance of the ministry complex,” a security official told AFP.

“It was followed by another car whose occupants opened fire at the complex of buildings,” he said.

The ministry said gunmen had occupied the Defence Hospital within the complex after the explosion, but security forces had since regained control of the building.

“The assailants took advantage of some construction work that is taking place to carry out this criminal act,” it said in a statement, without elaborating.

Witnesses said the explosion shook the compound in the old district of Sanaa, where the country’s central bank is also located.

“The explosion was very violent…and plumes of smoke rose from the building,” an employee who works in a nearby building told Reuters.
