  1. His heart is in the right place, and if the group he just joined is what some people say it is, he is right there to discover the truth.

  2. two things:
    1. I didn’t know about an EDL member that was planning to blow up a Mosque. This is very important. If the Mosque was blown up the EDL would never have a leg to stand on again.
Remember our side must ALWAYS be held to a higher standard this is not going to change.

    2. This was the most civil interview Tommy has ever been able to make too the public.
If he left only for more interviews like this it was worth it.

  3. Warning: I’m not in a good mood, so I might come across as tolerance challenged.

    1. Simply from the name of the presenter I just knew it was the BBC, although her sympathies were displayed more discretely than usual.

    2. That nasty little wiesel in the first interview (I hope no-one leaves little girls or even boys alone in his presence): what a bloody cheek to ask Tommy – repeatedly – to apologise. What about these fakely “moderate” muslims apologise for beating Tommy up, for organised sex slavery of non-musilm English children, for organising a bomb attentat against Tommy and the EDL. FOR GOD’S SAKE put a rotten onion in their mouths – a huge one – to shut them up, I get seriously irritated with this TYPICAL muslim mantra !

    3. Ditto for the muslim in the 2nd interview.

    4. DONT TAKE IT TOMMY – ASK THEM FOR AN APOLOGY !

    5. Lending from another cliché: Give muslims a little finger and they will take your head.

    6. You may now call me a cynic

    7. *sending lotsa kisses towards Tommy Robinson and Kevin Carol* !

  4. re 5. Whooops, it’s of course “borrowing” from another cliché, not “lending”. I think muslims should apologise for my mistake !

  5. TR hasn’t changed his message he has only changed his stance. All those who call him a traitor should be a little ashamed. There are many ways to skin a cat it may be just about finding out which way is best.
P.s that goggle eyed fuck Bungawala is seriously creepy, but hey never judge a book by his cover…..just the words inside eh?

  6. Well the UK is finally having a much needed open discussion. Something the rest of Europe should as well. TR is showing the best way to deescalate a tension in England that is not going to go away by pretending the problems England has with its Muslim community does not exist. There is radicalization in the Muslim community that has to be openly discussed by English society.

  7. “Remember our side must ALWAYS be held to a higher standard this is not going to change.”
    Just like Israel.

  8. Personally I don’t think the tension should be deescalated. In fact I think it should grow exponentially till Europeans actually do something to eliminate Islamic influence on Western culture.

  9. Maybe he was good in this interview like you say. I started one and realized I have no desire to listen to him since I really don’t care about “him” in the first place. Had he simply left the EDL or tried to clean up parts of the EDL that were having issues, then I would have listened and probably supported him. The naive support islam has in our societies already has too many voices let alone this event the leftist can point at justifying their screaming of racism. Tommy Robinson has taken the “high road” and this obviously means those who refuse to submit to cultural changes to accommodate islam are bigots and racists. F’ Tommy Robinson.

  10. He’s basically disarmed himself though. Rantzen should be ashamed of herself. Would she pull the same conciliation role in Hebron or Sderot?

  11. James:

I suspect yours will be the majority view, and I think Tommy should have figured out it would be.

  12. It’s the first BBC show I’ve seen where the vilification of Tommy Robinson and the EDL wasn’t constant and unremitting. I thought Tommy held his own, as he has in more hostile circumstances. His message seemed basically unchanged.

What struck me was the moment when the sensible old woman character tried to frame the issue as a squabble between misbehaving boys (“IF you two gentlemen can get together…”)

The 95-5 vote suggests the audience didn’t feel as sorry for Bungawunga as he does for himself. Good luck to Tommy solving the problems between Islam and the rest of humanity though.

I fully agree with that, especially as we know that muslims, having reached a certain number in ANY place in the world will take over (no more mr. nice guy then, not even Takjja, just have a quick look at the history of the Coptic Christians in Egypt who, until the Arab invasion made up 100% of Egypt, in fact “Copt” means “Egyptian”.

However, as far as Tommy Robinson is concerned, after what he has done so far eg solitary confinement in prison, being arrested how many times? being beaten up, how many times? having death threats hanging over him, his little children and his wife and the rest of his family, how many? Who here can top that???, has credit until the end of his life in my bank.

The best piece written about him, or at least the opinion which comes closest to mine is the one by Paul Weston: http://littlenotesfromparis.blogspot.com.au/2013/10/tommy-robinson-kevin-carroll-thank-you.html

  14. Don C.: “…What struck me was the moment when the sensible old woman character tried to frame the issue as a squabble between misbehaving boys…” (“IF you two gentlemen can get together…”)

    Me too!

Just reposting this, to be sure even irony-challenged folk gets it. 🙂 “our side” should read the muslim press/blogs to see what Israel is going through – unfortunately often from “our side” too.

  15. Thanks, Rita.
Believe me, I hate like poison the double standard, & choke over it everytime some wretched Palestinian throws himself under a jeep, but there ya go…

  16. I doubt Rantzen would say that the settlers in Hebron (or whereever) and the Palestinians are just boys squabbling. She’s quite Jewish you see. The double standard for Brits like Tommy are quite clear. I’m amazed that a great granddaughter of a Jew from the Warsaw ghetto would so easily make the equivalence between Tommy and the Bungawunga person. England has been very good to her and she ought to think about siding with people like Tommy.

  17. Yes, Rita, Paul Weston says it all

I agree with your take too, in that, confronting these issues from a strong
base, head to head, outspoken, is important, but look what happened to
the EDL movement, the entire country, press, even their sympathizers turned against them
    But I agree,
there will never ever ever be peace with islam or islamic countries,
or islamic people, those whose heart is with the koran and islam
The peacemakers, talkers, walkers whomever, will spend eons
in this ever futile approach. War, power, and might, those will always
be the only way to stop this evil scourge, sadly… We are in a war, and it is
only in the beginning stages…this evil force against freedom and democracy
on the move, chipping away at the values inherent in our free and enlightened
cultures, with continual pushing of their values to overshadow Christian/Judeo
    elements in society…..

  18. There’s an old saying: “If you forget you’re a Jew, ask any Polish peasant.”
[because he’ll pick up a rock and throw it at you]

  19. Lol! At a certain point the Liberal Rantzen or Millibands are going to have to side with one or the other group. Either the white British natives or the Pakistanis/Arabs. There isn’t much time left. Eventually the Israelis and Arabs are going to have a final showdown. So the mediating must stop. Israel will need at least one European ally. It won’t be Germany or Russia.

  20. Those lib Brits are no where near the sharp side. Yet.

There’s no mediating with those who deny your right to exist.

But “eventually” is worth a great deal. Maybe buy some time, maybe enough to see your children off to kindergarden, or even to help your son shave for the first time.

  21. @ yucki: firstly, I totally share your nausea: I heard someone recently compare Jew-hatred to a Virus – that sometimes goes into remission. Well, after the Schickelgruber era it took barely a siesta. What happened to the “NEVER EVER AGAIN”? (at least here on Vlads Tepes, these nasty hydra heads dont seem to pop up too often that’s why I like it here).

You say: “There’s no mediating with those who deny your right to exist.”

Nor should there be! It’s easy for me to say but sometimes I despair that this suicidal “tending the other cheek” or “trying once more” sometimes even comes from Israelis and members of the Jewish diaspora themselves:

Hope triumphing over experience? Or just giving up?

A question that one might even ask Tommy.

Agreed. That is the way to go. And the way to get there, is the way we have been progrssing since 9/11. Bit by bit.
