  1. I see the Lethwaite business as a sleight of hand. So the Kenyan Foreign Secretary after stating that Lethwaite was a trigger-Muslim is now nowhere to be found.

Anyone else notice how desperate Amina Mohamad is to pin this massacre on a fair skinned blue eyed phantom? Dig up some dirt about Amina and you might get to the bottom of this assault.

So, let me get this straight. They arrested him for no reason whatsoever, locked him up in Guantanamo Bay in permanent solitary confinement for no reason whatsoever, and the Algerian authorities promise to arrest him on sight, for no reason whatsoever. Gee! What an unlucky guy. One has to wonder, thought, why he goes to such lengths to look so much like a terrorist.

Remember the outrage by the gay community and various other do-gooders over Russia holding the Winter Olympics in Sochi next year? Are we going to expect the same sort of outrage about Qatar holding the World Cup?
    Somehow, I doubt it.

I read many articles in the Wall Street Journal during the 1990s about the massacres of complete villages carried out by the Islamic fundamentalists. Having problems winnowing results given the search engine tools. I cannot restrict the date range so I get buried with articles of the last 2 years.

However Wikipedia is useful for something.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Algerian_massacres_of_the_1990s

As a result I don’t care what Djamel Ameziane fears. I fear him. the sooner he is dead the better off I will feel. He may not be party of massacres but he is a member of the group that massacred people and rejected the ceasefire and reconciliation of 2000.

Of course not all villagers were massacred. Some were lucky. That would be young women. They were lucky. they were taken back to the caves where the Jihadis hid out and tenderly, lovingly gang raped.

  5. 2/ That’s a lot of dead villagers.

The well-meaning folks at the Anglican Diocese of Montreal might find a morbid gratification in pushing their charitable impulses across the line into masochistic death-wishes, but they have a responsibility to their flock as well, and to the society that tolerates them. They are not serving either by sponsoring Muslim refugees, let alone Algerian terrorists. I thought charity began at home.

  6. If I read a wiki page I save it. Never know when it might be “edited”.

Some people are quite dedicated to editing pages and have flame wars.

The page I save might not be “gospel” but at least I can compare it newer version that may be written in Newspeak.

I might be a kook, when I talk about Newspeak. then again I was appalled that 1 or 2 days after the Nairobi mall massacre the lemmings in the media are already scrubbing Islam, terrorism from descriptions of the event

  7. Yes it was a lot of massacres. And then the news people moved on. During military training I saw videos of ambushes of an Algerian supply convoy (driving something similar to a 2 1/2 ton truck) around 2006. The Civil War continued when a splinter group of the Islamic Salvation Front did not accept the cease fire. They later affiliated with Al Qaeda. Yet the average person or journalist does not know this. This splinter group was working what is thought to be bubonic plague. Almost 2 score of them, surrendered into because the government had in a bad place, but because their own germ warfare experiment had put them in a bad place.

For a guerilla group is was a mass surrender! Yet the media went ho hum. It was a case of

    RESIDENT EVIL.

Except instead of an evil corporation it was an evil Al Qaeda affiliate that got burned when they played with fire.

The story hit one day gone the rest. Where are the investigative journalists? They should following this as diligently as Janes.

  8. “These massacres continued through the end of 1998, changing the nature of the political situation considerably. The areas south and east of Algiers, which had voted strongly for FIS in 1991, were hit particularly hard; the Rais and Bentalha massacres in particular shocked worldwide observers. Pregnant women were sliced open, children were hacked to pieces or dashed against walls, men’s limbs were hacked off one by one, and, as the attackers retreated, they would kidnap young women to keep as sex slaves. Although this quotation by Nesroullah Yous, a survivor of Bentalha, may be an exaggeration, it expresses the apparent mood of the attackers:
“We have the whole night to rape your women and children, drink your blood. Even if you escape today, we’ll come back tomorrow to finish you off! We’re here to send you to your God!”[19]”

This is what i read more or less in Wall Street Journal articles in the 1990s.

The acronym for the terrorist group GIA evokes dread in my mind. It does not send a thrill up my leg. When the GIA affiliated with Al Qaeda, it was like aw sh_t! Yet most people in congress or the press are not exercised about it at all. Did anyone in congress say yes we are working with the Algerians? No! They are doing “Bad, bad dog!’ routine with the Algerian government. Pathetic!

So GIA joins Al Qaeda, Obama hands them Libya and the looted weapon stores go to Mali.

    Thankyou Mr President.

We have lost a lot. Star wars was filmed in part in Tunisia. Could we do it now? My stupid @ss parents went to Tunisia for vacation right before the Arab spring. It was tense. Fortunately they would not repeat the trip nowadays. But I point this out for a reason.

HOW MANY PLACES CAN YOU VISIT ON VACATION THAT YOU NO LONGER CAN SAFELY?

    Fewer and fewer.

That should tell you everything you need to know about the world. It is not communist insurgents or Christan suicide bombers that I fear.

Look up Algeria on wikipedia. It is beautiful. The Romans sure liked it. It might be a little drier now, but it still has so much to offer. It should be rich. People should be safe there.

People like Djamel Ameziane should be fearful. He is the reason we are fearful.

P.S. the pictures of Algeria really are stunningly beautiful. Just skiing alone would make the Algerian vacation industry wealthy. You would think the rich and powerful might get bored of Switzerland and Vail and want to ski somewhere else. You would think they would try to fix things.

  9. #1 in the long run they will catch her.

#3 You are only allowed to keep straight white males out, they are the only group you can discriminate against.

#5 CNN lies about just about everything else so why not him?

  10. Blue,

Good suggestion, close all the journalism schools. They were a bad idea to begin with. Journalism school is to journalism what Creative Writing departments are to creative writing. Close them too. Defund them. Defund the arts.

Pull the plug on the CBC, offer deprogramming sessions for recovering journalists. Or else let the next iteration of the Toronto 18 (the Montreal 12, the Edmonton 20) have their way with them. But no negotiating with the terrorists: we don’t need to hear afterward how being gang-raped underscored for brave CBC reporters the costs we must all pay when Muslim immigrants feel insufficiently included.

  11. Blue,

“the GIA. At this stage, it had apparently adopted a takfirist ideology, believing that practically all Algerians not actively fighting the government were corrupt to the point of being kafirs, and could be killed righteously with impunity”

Gee, where have I heard that before.

You would need unlimited time to catalogue all Muslim atrocities and an encyclopedic memory to keep track of them, but the songs have the same refrains.

It makes me sick how much great geography and rich history has a post-7th century Muslim overlay.

  12. #1 I missed something. The 20 terrorists entered the mall and attacked unarmed, innocent people with rifles, pistols and grenades.

So how did part of the mall collapse.

I really hope the white widow did not die there. I want her on trial to explain your pathetic reasoning.

But I hope she died there, because the left will screw up the trial, incarceration and campaign ofr her to be released.
