Iran passes a new law allowing a man to marry his adopted daughter from Age 13

(Should we call this, the Woody Allen bill? Except being age of consent is a rather large difference)

The Guardian:

Human rights activists say approved bill, making girls vulnerable to the ruling from age 13, ‘legalises paedophilia’

Parliamentarians in Iran have passed a bill to protect the rights of children which includes a clause that allows a man to marry his adopted daughter and while she is as young as 13 years.

Activists have expressed alarm that the bill, approved by parliament on Sunday, opens the door for the caretaker of a family to marry his or her adopted child if a court rules it is in the interests of the individual child.

Iran’s Guardian Council, a body of clerics and jurists which vets all parliamentary bills before the constitution and the Islamic law, has yet to issue its verdict on the controversial legislation.

You try to tell people this stuff and they just don’t believe you.

They will not even read the article if you posted it because it is just to crazy to believe.

  2. Well, Ox Ao, be pragmatic. Capturing a child from a neighboring Christian village would legitimize the relationship, and if your family had been marrying first-cousins for the last 1400 years, a little new blood would not do any harm.

I’m sure feminists would agree the were empowered to do what they want with their bodies at 13. Anger has that way of making a person age more quickly.

You could laugh, but Socialism is coming up with exactly the same thing with Children’s’ Rights of ‘don’t touch, unless they like it’.

A Charity will one day run the radio ad:

“Daddy, why are you touching me”

“Don’t worry son, I’m only touching you outside your underpants area”

    But I like it dad”

“Well, that’s ok because I can only go further with your consent. What do you call it?”

    “Liliput”

    “Meet Abdul”

Sick, sick sick, and they are in power.

  3. The act of introducing new ideas into Islam is always supposed to be forbidden, this is called a “Biddah Hearsy”. Biddah is an invention or innovation by Moslems, that has never been previously mentioned anywhere in Islamic writings, or not in the Koran or the Hadiths.

“Biddah” is Haram and considered as heresy, it is an innovation in Islam, it is the invention, creation or addition of any religious matter which was not (originally) found in Islam. Therefore, Islam warns against it and invalidates any religious deed which does not originate from the Quran and the Sunnah.
Muhammad said in this respect: “He who innovates something that is not in agreement with our matter (religion), will have it rejected. This is because innovation in religion is an opposition to Islam; it implies that our religion is incomplete and imperfect with regards to the matters of worship.”
Shaikh Ibn ‘Uthaimeen says: “Innovation entails the adoption of dangerous ways”

In this case nobody is introducing a new idea into Islam, so there is no ‘Biddah heresy’ involved. Iran is simply implementing Islamic law, that’s all.

  5. When you cant do a day without a cig, ermm, I mean a bombing…

At least 17 die in Pakistan bus bomb (BBC, Sept 27, 2013)

“At least 17 people have been killed in a bus bombing near the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, officials say. The vehicle was carrying government employees back home in the Gulbela area, some 15km north-east of the city. More than 70 passengers were on board, police said. Peshawar, the main city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, has been hit by numerous bomb and gun attacks blamed on Taliban insurgents in recent years. Initial reports say the bomb was planted in the back of the bus…”

  6. “Soldiers told of the horrific torture meted out by terrorists in the Nairobi mall massacre yesterday with claims hostages were dismembered, had their eyes gouged out and were left hanging from hooks in the ceiling.

Men were said to have been castrated and had fingers removed with pliers before being blinded and hanged.

Children were found dead in the food court fridges with knives still embedded in their bodies, it was claimed.”

Do you have a link other than facebook? I am not signed up with Facebook & don’t care to be.

If this is true I do not see it happening as often in France as in the Muslim world.

If true I see this as more of an aberration. I would like to check it out.

I consider it a crime to be married at that age. If I recall correctly the physiological process of pregnancy causes the bones to stop growing. So the girl would not grow up so much, but with age will still grow out and get stout. And then the man who had his vanity tickled will dump her for yet another woman.

“France: 18[75] but the age condition may be waived with a special dispense granted by the authorities if at least one parent consents to the marriage (or one grandparent if both parents are dead or unable to give consent, or a family council if all parents and grandparents are dead or unable to give consent). After 18, parents (or grandparents) may still prevent the marriage by refusing their consent, but their opposition may be waived by the authorities, whereas before 18, their consent is absolutely needed” -wiki

I suspect that this film is fake or that a parent/grandparent sold the girl and the authorities cannot prove it.

It is kind of hard to spend much time debating gays or fighting the cultural battles, when we are in a death struggle with Salafis.

The Soviet Union use to support gays to weaken our culture like every group that had a legitimate or illegitimate beef against the main culture.

As far as LGBT is concerned it is going to get worse before it gets better. But we are NOT going to solve the problem with force. It will be through science, an understanding of nature. I for one do not believe a gay gene exists. Once neurobiology & genetics is well understood, I think we could look the other way, say nothing and when we look back there will be know gay people. they will have changed. If we rub their faces in it, it will just lead to bitterness. In the meantime there will be plenty of legislative and cultural battles.

But just because we will be fighting them without using your culture’s way of Sharia does not mean we approve of it.

  9. Eeyore,

I am not sure this girl actually got married or this photo shoot to make a point. I suspect the latter now. The organization that i linked seem awfully exercised about child marriage

So here is what I think happen. they did a video about what child marriage would look like if it still happened in France. As they were doing a shoot, two tourists or provocateurs wandered by and whipped out their cell phones. they found out what was going on but decided to post it as if was an actual child marriage in France so they would get more hits. And Ishmael went with it because it suited his purpose.
