1. BBC: Niqab court row: Compromise reached over identification

A woman who refused to show her face in court for religious reasons has reached a compromise over the confirmation of her identity. (More here as well)

The 21-year-old from Hackney, London, had refused to remove her niqab and reveal her face in front of any man.

2. This is how jihadis celebrated the Sept. 11 anniversary

For the most part, those messages are just what you’d expect: eulogies for the Sept. 11 bombers, photos of the attacks and calls for the “glory” to continue. Al-Shabaab, an al-Qaeda affiliated group active in Somalia, posted several messages in English:

OK. So this could be fake, on a number of levels, but so could the “evidence” that Bashar al-Assad ordered the chemical weapons attack. That’s the point. About this point, Vladimir Putin said it best when he said to the Americans, “If you don’t have proof that you can show, then you don’t have proof.”. He’s right. Cut the bullshit! I don’t want to hear about the proof being “classified” or “not available at this time”. If they can’t show it, and it’s not compelling, then the Americans are lying again, just like they did about the attack on the US embassy in Libya. You cannot believe a single word that comes out of the US State Department, which now has the credibility of the Turkmenistan Bureau of Propaganda.

  2. All sides are lying in this conflict. All the more reason to stay out and watch our enemies kill each other.

  3. The US has no national interest affected by the war in Syria, for this reason it is not any of our business.

Don’t mention the possible genocide, both sides are guilty. If anything we should be helping Assad since he protects the Christians.
