“She should not have written this book.” This was the definitive word of David Horrowitz, a former communist activist turned conservative pundit and editor of online journal Frontpage Magazine. Ironically, the magazine claims to tout liberty, asserting, as its tag line, that “inside every liberal, there is a totalitarian waiting to get out.”
The phrase, “it takes one to know one” comes to mind. For weeks this self-professed bastion of free thinking has devoted a large store of energy to trashing journalist and author Diana West and her latest book, American Betrayal.

#1 I still frequent Frontpage. It still has good articles, but the internecine bloodletting is turning me off. That is I am getting upset with Horowitz and not West and I bought his book Radical soon in the hardback.

If she was a western woman speaking against it her arguments would be related to feminism – but it would be the exact same motivation. She resents women who are more attractive than she is.

#1 the Neocon groups tend to hang onto their leftist idea of ideological purity, which includes speaking no ill of dead communists, there is massive amounts of evidence that West is right but the Neocons refuse to accept this because it goes against things they learned as children.
