  1. The last time America went to war without Britain was in Vietnam. That didn’t go too well.

As in Syria now, France was instrumental in getting America involved in their former colony.

Now it is upto Americans to ponder whether France, specially under a socialist president, has America’s best interests at heart.

  2. If 500 Al Qaeda guys kill people 24 or 25 at a time every day for two months that basically has the same effect as 500 guys in chemical units and supporting military spending a week preparing for an op and sitting on their hands 3 weeks before and 3 weeks after.

At the end of the day Dead is Dead. I guess for score keeping if you kill them in small packets wearing masks so you can’t be identified, speak a confusing foreign language and keep morphing your group’s name, then your typical tard will use that to Move On and forget. That is you forget when you are not dissembling that it never happened , its’ no big deal, or its’ tit for tat.

I would argue that the chronic stress of living in an Al Qaeda Sharia zone where they round people up and kill people daily is worse than a chemical attack. at the end of the quarter or the end of the year the body count is the same or worse but the stress is worse as it is constant and

    unrelenting.

P.S. As most informed people know Al Qaeda in Iraq used chemical weapons in their suicide attacks and IED attacks. The leftists never berated them for it, so what have they to lose in Syria? It is the same group of people with a few additions

America lost Vietnam at 2 major turning points. The 1st was Tet. It was a tactical and and operational defeat for the North Vietnamese regulars and the Viet Cong.

After Tet the Viet Cong was never able to muster any formations in division level strength because they had been so decimated. that is a lot of them died and they were the lucky ones. the survivors were reeducated after 1975 and probably did not survive either.

All the north Vietnamese had to do was turn on the TV and watch American news casts. they knew that they had just taken a pounding. But they saw that if they just stuck it out the Americans would leave due to the fickle American politicians, slanted press and war protesters. If the Soviets had 2,000 or 4,000 agents or active supported in the U.S. in the government, academia and elsewhere, you know the tenor, discussion slant and everything else about the war protests were Soviet influenced.

General Giap said so himself about the American newscasts and the war protests in thr aftermath of Tet.

South Vietnam could have ended up like South Korea.

  4. Red you are right, we won the war on the ground but the news media and the war protesters convinced the politicians to throw away the victory, the war protesters have the blood of millions of people on their hands and still celebrate their actions.
