Reporter Yahya Ababneh, with whom the report was written in collaboration, was the correspondent on the ground in Ghouta who spoke directly with the rebels, their family members, victims of the chemical weapons attacks and local residents.
After parliament voted down attacking Syria, I though Obama was done. He only had 2 allies. bush had closer to 2 score or more.

But no, he is not. I should have known better. He just doubled down. He sent some draft legislation to congress on Saturday and sent out Kerry on the Sunday talk shows. I know Kerry is very self centered and delusional. but after hearing a clip of the Sunday talk shows, I wonder when he is going to crack. Maybe his delusions protect him from a meltdown.
As has been pointed out Syria has better air defenses than Libya. It is going to be harder. It is also closer to Russia geographically and dearer to its leader’s geopolitical ambitions. Apparently since the princesses will never join the military in a front line role, Obama does not care. At least the British Royals occasionally have skin in the game.
We gotten better weapons since the Syrians shot down our pilots in the 1980s, but so have the Syrians. Is Obama going to call on Jesse Jackson to get our pilots back? It is not going to be that easy this time.
