1. Caroline Glick points out interesting omissions in Obama’s tough talk about Syria.

[…] Rather than assist Israel in its efforts that are also vital to US strategic interests, the US has been endangering these Israeli operations. US officials have repeatedly leaked details of Israel’s operations to the media. These leaks have provoked several senior Israeli officials to express acute concern that in providing the media with information regarding these Israeli strikes, the Obama administration is behaving as if it is interested in provoking a war between Israel and Syria.

2. Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood supporters place X marks on Coptic homes

The Christian Copts of Shubra al-Khaima, Egypt, are in a “state of panic and terror” as “a number of supporters of ousted President Muhammad Morsi have been placing markings on Christian homes in the area for [future] targeting.”

Speaking anonymously, one Copt from the region told Veto News agency that they “recently noticed strange movements in the streets. When they went to inspect, they discovered large numbers of bearded men, who began to quicken their steps…

3. Leicester child prostitution trial: Six men jailed

Judge Michael Pert QC said: “While it is fair to say that none of the defendants played any part in her decision to prostitute herself, it is equally true to say that anyone meeting her would immediately have realised that this was a vulnerable 16-year-old girl from a good Sikh family, who was embarking upon a disastrous course of action.”

4. Tuberculosis update in England. (remember, this new outbreak is entirely due to a number of imams preaching that TB inoculations are a Western plot to make women infertile)

5. Kim Jong-un’s ex-girlfriend reportedly executed by firing squad

(You know, as bad as this is, a small part of me kinda gets that)

“At least five militants have been killed in a clash with security forces in Indian-administered Kashmir, police told the BBC.

A group of paramilitary troops and police was fired at by militants in the Najwan forest area near Ganderbal district.

Security forces retaliated, killing the militants, police said.

Kashmir, claimed by both India and Pakistan, has seen an armed insurgency against Indian rule since 1989….”

  2. Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen. Place your bets…

Afghan suicide blast: District governor dies in Kunduz (BBC, Aug 30, 2013)

“A suicide bomber has killed a district governor and six others at a memorial service in the northern Afghan province of Kunduz, officials say. Sheikh Sadi, governor of Archi district, was killed along with one bodyguard and five civilians. Ten others were wounded. The group was attending the memorial service of a tribal elder. 3. 5. “Hyon Song-wol and 11 others had been arrested on August 17 for violating North Korea’s laws against pornography and was executed three days later.”

Which means everyone you see in this video I would image

  4. 1/ No fucking surprise. The more we find out about Obama, the more nasty smells appear.

  5. Trudeau says Canada should accept more Syrian refugees

“I’ve very worried about the Syrian people,” he said before meeting people at a park in downtown Halifax.

“We also do want to see our government providing humanitarian support, diplomatic pressure to resolve this situation and I know we can do more around refugees in terms of bringing some of the many thousand of displaced people to Canada for a better life.”

Earlier this week, Trudeau said Parliament should be recalled to discuss what role Canada should play as the international community prepared to respond on Syria. He said the use of chemical weapons is “unacceptable” and requires a “significant response.

  6. #3 The arguments offered on behalf of this scum in mitigation of their hiring and pimping a child prostitute are a bit of a reach, as even the BBC seems to get.

One lowlife comes from a respectable family (a better excuse than coming from a disreputable one?)

Another is an immigration “overstayer” and has kids of his own (can’t deprive the children of their model father).

Two, having been caught, feel ashamed.

Personal favourite: 22-year-old (give or take) Wajid Usman “fled a dreadful regime.” Kind of like Justin Trudeau’s Syrian refugees.

  7. 1/ Carloine Glick says:

“Syria is controlled by Iran and its war is being directed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and by Hezbollah. And arrayed against them are rebel forces dominated by al-Qaida.”

So, what she is saying is that the Syrian conflict is between Shia and Sunni Muslims. Well let them get on with it and keep us out of it. Muzz can fight and kill each other as much as they like. That’s fine by me.

  8. The TB outbreak in the UK isn’t entirely due to lack of vaccination so much as the government is basically importing new TB cases by allowing unchecked immigration.

Here’s the original report describing current known TB cases:
    http://www.hpa.org.uk/Publications/InfectiousDiseases/Tuberculosis/1308TBintheUK2013report/
    http://www.hpa.org.uk/webc/HPAwebFile/HPAweb_C/1317139689583

The BCG vaccine for TB isn’t commonly given in the west since rates remain low and it’s only effective for children up to 5 years, even then it isn’t 100% effective and it will not always confer lifelong immunity to the disease. Governments and drug companies are still searching for an effective TB vaccine that could be used for children and adults to treat all types of TB infection but I’m not holding my breath on that. India has one of the largest TB immunization campaigns in the world but they also have the highest TB infection rates. I don’t know how to put it but the BCG vaccine is so-so at best.

I can’t find records of imams forbidding the TB vaccine although the vaccine is usually given along with the oral polio vaccine. Ideally the BCG vaccine should be given in the hospital when the baby is born but that won’t work in countries where children are born at home.

  9. People catch TB when their immune system is weakened by other diseases, the epidemic is caused by their ignoring western medicine in other diseases.
