Syria links for Aug 27 2013 – 1

Thank you Richard and M and all who sent these in. For the record, I am posting for general interest. I don’t yet have a formed opinion about all of this except that the chances of a very wide and serious conflict having its genesis in Syria seems more likely than the wars of the past 12 years so far.

1. Syria crisis: warplanes spotted in Cyprus as tensions rise in Damascus

2. After Syria chemical allegations, Obama considering limited military strike

3. Video that sure looks like Al-Qeada/Muslim brotherhood types loading what sure looks like plastic canisters into mortars. I have no idea who they really are, but I doubt you can grow a beard like that overnight.

4. Syria crisis: Russia and China step up warning over strike

  1. I think #4 is where the serious threat is coming from, this is eerily silimar to the warning that Britain and France gave to Hitler prior to the beginning of WWII.

  2. The funny thing is that I have not the foggiest notion as to why they’re even thinking about attacking Syria. The only explanation that I can think of is that Barack Obama is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood himself and this is him simply fighting for his side. Nothing else I can think of makes sense. Otherwise, why would a Democrat president at this time go against public opinion and attack a secular leader like this when we all know it is the Jihadists who will take power if the Regime is defeated.

And when the American Secretary of State looks you straight in the eye and tells you that the Syrian Government fired chemical weapons rounds at the “protesters”, just remember the last Secretary of State telling you that the Benghazi attack was a spontaneous reaction to a movie that does not exist. They were lying then, why would anybody be stupid enough to believe them now? And what’s with John McCain… None of this makes any sense. Are they truly that uninformed? Do they actually think this is the freedom loving people of Syria trying to throw off the yoke of oppression and come out into the Arab Spring light of justice and democracy? Are they really just a bunch of yokels who just can’t comprehend anything if it didn’t happen in Kentucky or New York or California?

  3. Chris with the exception of McCain the people you mentioned are Marxists to one degree or another, Obama is more Moslem then Christian (and probably a member of the Brotherhood) and McCain is a RINO who votes with the Dems more then he does with the Repubs.
