Poison Threats for Orleans Dog Owners
CTV Ottawa is reporting that dog owners in Orleans are concerned their pooches may get poisoned.
About a week ago, in the neighbourhood of Chapparal, anonymous letters were sent to pet owners asking to keep dogs off of others properties.
Posters with a similar message were mounted on mailboxes in the area.
The messages contained a veiled threat: “Final Notice” and “Weiners” in brackets.
Residents now believe poisoned hot dogs have been left out on roadways and paths.
Many residents are worried that a young child may eat one of the poisoned products.

Spanish authorities are investigating the recent deaths by poisoning of more than a dozen dogs in Lérida, a city in the northeastern region of Catalonia that has become ground zero in an intensifying debate over the role of Islam in Spain.
All of the dogs were poisoned in September (local media reports here, here, here, here and here) in Lérida’s working class neighbourhoods of Cappont and La Bordeta, districts that are heavily populated by Muslim immigrants and where many dogs have been killed in recent years.
Local residents say Muslim immigrants killed the dogs because according to Islamic teaching dogs are “unclean” animals.
Perhaps a few anonymous letters need to be sent to Muslims explaining that the death of one dog will lead to the firebombing of ten mosques.

It’s not even a toss-up: the dogs can stay, the mohammadans have to go.
The call to prayer can set dogs howling, especially early in the a.m. Possibly the real reason Mhd disliked them. A little pre-emptive canine clearance would be prudent before agitating for the right to blast the call from Ottawa minarets. The neighborhood can’t complain about the way it starts the hounds going if there are no hounds.
I like Bobs solution, unfortunately the left doesn’t live in the real world and practical solutions that work are forbidden.
