TORONTO – A 23-year-old woman who was found strangled to death in North York over the weekend has been officially identified.

Toronto Police say Nyumwai Caroline Mkurazhizha — the city’s latest murder victim — is from the Republic of Zimbabwe.

Officers responded to a call for “unknown trouble” on Clancy Dr., southwest of Don Mills Rd. and Finch Ave. W., around 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived at the house, they found a woman suffering from “apparent trauma to the body,” police said earlier this week.

She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

An autopsy later determined she died of “manual strangulation.”

Mohamed Adam Bharwani, 18, is charged with first-degree murder in the city’s fifth homicide of the year.

  1. “Muzzlum Kills Woman” is like “Dog Bites Man.” Hardly counts as news and would be considered Hate Speech if you said it was.
