They used to say that rape was not about sex but was about control. Well sometimes that may be true and other times it is about sex.

This time, I would bet it was about raw hatred.

Police have arrested an Eritrean national on suspicion of brutally raping an 83-year-old woman near the old central bus station in southern Tel Aviv, it was cleared for publication Monday.

According to the suspicions, the man raped the elderly woman for hours in the backyard of her building.

The brutal rape was stopped only after the suspect spotted the woman’s relatives arriving to visit her and escaped. Since then, for 10 days, the police have been concealing the incident from the public.

The gag order over the investigation was removed on Monday morning, and the suspect is expected to be indicted later this week.

The incident took place on a Friday about 10 days ago. According to the investigation, the woman, who lives on her own, left her house at around 10 am. The suspect, who was lurking across the street, dragged her to the building’s yard and raped her for hours – while beating and threatening her.

The suspect, in his 20s, had no trouble gaining control of the weak old woman. Unfortunately, her cries for help were not heard by anyone, allowing the rapist to carry on for hours.

  1. When I visited Israel, Tel Aviv felt like the safest and most civilised place I’d been in the world. Except for one place: the bus station where this 83 year old woman was raped.

I’ve put myself in enough dangerous situations around the world to be able to spot within 20 seconds if an area is threatening. And I made sure we got away from that bus station ASAP. On speaking to some Israelis about my feelings, they agreed that the area around the bus station was the pits.

  2. You are right, this one was about raw hatred, hatred and revenge for what he thinks the Jews have done. Hatred taught in the Koran.

  3. Presumably this monkey-boy will be given the heave ho at the end of his hopefully long sentance. So different from the way scum of this nature have excuses made for them here.

  4. Israel imported highly qualified Eritreans and Somalis to do jobs that uneducated Israelis will not or are not able to do. Of course some will be rapists, but hey that is how the chips fall.
