Once again our so called elite have proven their lack of intelligence and understanding of their own countrymen.
‘’ bosses say the universal symbol of remembrance ‘is simply not recognised’ or understood by the channel’s global audience.’’
The BBC has a duty to educate and should take this opportunity to educate their ‘global audience’ as to the significance of the poppy and the values it stands for..
They should uphold and broadcast the values of the people who are paying the bills. Instead, the BBC chooses to ignore them under a multicultural ethos that gives greater weight to minority interests an culture, and fails to respect our own.
We have no choice, we are forced to pay for the BBC but if they can’t uphold our values they should take their chance in the market place without the guarantee of easy public money.
It’s time they remembered the BBC stands for British Broadcasting Corporation If they listened to the people who pay they would have to answer this question ….
