  1. I used to be guilty of exactly the same thing before I had an epiphany and became a conservative. Movies like “To kill a mockingbird” and “In the heat of the night” pretty much convinced me that being a racist was the worst possible thing you could be and that white people – like me – were the only ones capable of it. If I had grown up in Nazi Germany perhaps I would have made a point of being an even-bigger-than-average Jew-hater, just to insure that the accusation of “Jew lover” was never leveled at me. In the same way you see Muslims struggling to out-hard-line each other in the hopes of not being devoured by the mob. My God, but that’s sick…

  3. I have been waiting for years for someone to articulate this VERY thing, and isn’t it SPOT ON. I will remember and follow Hugh MacDonald in the future.

  4. I wondered what gave him the right to assume European people are more coo-coo then Americans, or Australians; but then i realized he means Westerners, or people of an European background.
