Iran’s mullah-dominated regime, even as it was damning the recent video on the Prophet Muhammad as an insult to the sanctity of Islam, has unleashed a ferocious attack on Christianity.

Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani, a prominent Shi’ite source of emulation and a Twelver, in condemning the insult to the Prophet, not only insulted Pope Benedict XVI but also Jesus and Miriam, stating that if it were not for the Quran, Jesus would not be worthy of God’s heavens.

Khorasani, in a long statement quoting several verses from the Quran published Friday in Hawzah News, the official site of the seminaries in Qom, Iran, claims the only reason Jesus is regarded as holy is due to the Quran and Muhammad.

  1. So a Muslim has just insulted Jesus, where is the outrage?
Why are Leftists not calling for blasphemy laws to be introduced to silence the critics of Christianity? Where are the Christian rebels smashing up embassies around the World? Why has nobody sodomized and tortured an Iranian ambassador?
    The silence is deafening.

  2. The cleric meant, that if the koran is burned, the Talmud will be the only non-Christian source about Jesus. According to muslims, the Talmud teaches that Jesus was the son of a prostitute, and an ugly one to boot.

Athens – As Islamists rioted on the streets of Athens on Sunday afternoon in protest against the film “Innocence of Muslims”, Muslim prisoners in Korydallos Prison, Athens, went on the rampage.

Muslim prison inmates in Korydallos Prison showed solidarity with their fellow Islamists rioting on the streets of Athens, by staging their own prison riot. “To Vima” reported the riot broke out on the wings which held mainly foreign prisoners during Sunday afternoon: by the evening the situation was uncontrollable.

According to “Proto Thema” Muslim prisoners burned improvised American flags, set fire to mattresses and clothes, and threw stones. Prison officials had to seek assistance from riot police using teargas to bring the riot under control.

Riot police also had to resort to teargas to control rioting Muslims in central Athens that vandalized shops and cars as they rampaged in protest over perceived insults against the Prophet Mohammed. Rioters were prevented from storming the U.S. Embassy due to the diligence of the Greek police.
