Iran has rejected a United States offer of aid for survivors of deadly earthquakes which struck villages in its north-west, saying the offer was not made in “good faith”.

The weekend earthquakes killed 306 people and injured 3,000, according to an official toll, and the US issued a statement sending “the Iranian people” its condolences and saying, “we stand ready to offer assistance in this difficult time”.

However, the head of the interior ministry’s crisis management organisation, Hassan Ghadami, told local media Iran had declined aid offers.

  4. It makes them feel good. This regime is all about feeling good for the rulers. They love to feel good in their palaces dreaming about nuclear energy which never seems to materialise. Now this earthquake and then this offer of help. “Oh do be quiet. I have some serious dreaming to do.” That is the mentality of people who have lost touch with reality. Anything to get back to fixing the world for Allah while Allah throws an earthquake in their backyard. Arm chair dreamers with oil money love to think big and let the locals take care of themselves while they sort out the big stuff. Iranians are the ultimate delusion of grandeur types. But these types are everywhere. Obama is one of them too.

  5. Ok if they dont want taxpayers hard earned money to aid them in the recovery of their country then take away ALL aid, see how fast they come crawling back begging for aid
