Egypt’s new president shakes up US relations?

At the risk of sounding a little arrogant, I think Ikhwan even has the expert fooled a bit on this show. The Muslim Brotherhood are no more ‘moderate’ than the ‘Salafists’ whatsoever in policy or in any other way. The difference is the use of taqyyia and abrogation by the Brotherhood in order to achieve an islamic state, while the Salafists do not hide their ambitions. These are tactical differences but not strategic.

  1. Eeyore you are right.

Columnist, they are there to draw heat from the MB, this allows the MB to look moderate.

  2. You are spot on, Eyeore.

Columnist, even uncle Mo (or his character) sometimes did hide is intentions and sometimes did not. Pick one option when you think it suits you best.
