Gainsborough man jailed over anti-Islam images in his flat window

Once again, the Western world, led by Great Britain, shows the world what both totalitarianism looks like as well as the inability to recognize the difference between an ideology and a race.

Had this gentleman had a ton of literature about say, how evil white people are in his window, to a degree I can understand why there might be laws resulting in incarceration although I still think that qualifies as free speech. But he didn’t. He had material about how evil and dangerous and barbaric Nazism is. This is an ideology.

Wait sorry, it wasn’t material about Russians, it was about communism which again, is a dangerous and lethal totalitarian ideology which killed 100 million people in peacetime.

So sorry, my mistake. It wasn’t a diatribe against Japanese people. It was his attempt to warn the people about Shinto, the dangerous ideology/religion that motivated the Japanese people to try and take over the world by force.

WOOPS!

It wasn’t issues with Arabs. It was an expose on the clearly insane, racist, hate filled, incitement to genocide, demand-to-take-over-the-whole-world-and-destroy-it-in-the process, ISLAM

From This is Lincolnshire:

A GAINSBOROUGH man who plastered his front window with vile anti-Islamic hate literature has been jailed for a year.

Darren Conway, a self-confessed supporter of right-wing organisations, was given a 12-months’ sentence at Lincoln Crown Court.Darren Conway

                   JAILED: Darren Conway.

The court was told on Tuesday that carer Conway had covered the front window of his ground floor flat in Heaton Street in Gainsborough with 17 photographs and posters.

Many were offensive – attacking both the prophet Mohammed and the Muslim religion.

Conway, 44, had denied displaying the religiously aggravated hate material on April 16 last year.

But he was convicted following a short trial earlier this year, when sentencing was postponed for reports to be prepared.

Judge Michael Heath told Conway: “To describe the material you put in your window as grossly offensive is an understatement.

“There is no place in a civilised society for conduct of that sort and the only sentence I can justify for it is an immediate custodial sentence.”

Click to continue:

Notice there is no mention of what the material is, or if it was true or not. As that no longer matters clearly. And, like Islamic blasphemy laws themselves, the judges cannot look at the evidence because Muslims may not look at blasphemous material, we may not look at what he posted in his window. We have to just accept the adjectives of the journalist here even though it is likely, as seems the case most of the time, this ‘hate literature’ is actually an expose of Islam as hate literature itself.

  1. I’m still trying to wrap my head around this. So, if he had those same articles posted on the inside walls of his house he would not be charged? The fact that someone took offense to the literature and or pictures on his property is why he’s going to jail for 12 months? Even though it was his property he does not have the right to express his views there? Is this even legal? Was he convicted under Britain’s “hate laws”?

Seems to me, in a sane world, when a large , organized group is at war with your country and trying to subvert it from within, you should have the right to say anything you want about those invaders with no repercussions, especially if it amounts to a call to arms.

  2. The article is bullshit and was written by an islamic propogandist.

    1. No byline. Propogandists use outlets that don’t print bylines to disseminate proganda. When I read similar language in AP and Reuters stories I have to go to the AP and Reuters sites to find the bylines and 10 times out of 10 one of the contributors to the story is- I bet you can finish that sentance.

    2. There are several attempt to slip in verbiage that is meant to influence opinion rather than inform. In this case it’s at the beginning. “Vile…” belongs on an OP Ed page.

“self-confessed supporter of right-wing organisations…” “Self Confessed” is meant to imply a crime has been commited. The only organizations mentioned are the BNP and the EDL (which isn’t even right wing) and both organizations are 100% legal. That sentance is intended to make the reader subconciously associate both groups with criminality.

    3. “There is no place in a civilised society for…” was said recently by a Canadian Judge recently about an honor killing in Canada. Whut a gorsh durned coincedence that this judge said essentially the same thing.

    Gorsh. Whut. A. Coincedence.

    I smell a rat.

  3. Given what I said above. I think someone should call the police and court to see if Darren Conway actually exists and was actually arrested for anything.

  4. The actual event is real but happend over a month ago on feb 6th. Here is an official press release from the Crown Prosecution Service west midlands that predates the article.

    http://www.cps.gov.uk/eastmidlands/news_and_publications/press_releases/gainsborough_man_guilty_of_religiously_aggravated_harassment/

But as you can see the article has been somewhat, er, embellished, shall we say and I still think the statmetent by the judge is a fabrication. Judith Walker, the prosecutor said “has no place in our community..” – There is no mention of a judge saying anything.

  5. “Ashley Talbot, a retail assistant manager who works close to Conway’s flat, reported the posters to police.” — link
And there you have it. . .your local coward – nay, voluntary dhimmi enabling sharia enforcement upon his/her neighborhood intentionally. Remember that. As the political wind shifts to engage pro-liberty sentiments these are the folks you need to remember for the Orwellians they are. Never forget. Lan astaslem.

  6. This is a true story, I personally know Daz…the posters he had in his windows told the truth about peadophillia in Islam and the fact that mohammed had a child bride himself aswell as the homosexuality behind closed doors of muslim people. He was sentenced last week (beginning of march 2012). The same judge who sentenced Daz to 12 months for showing anti muslim material also bailed a 15 year old boy for raping to other boys, one at only 6 years of age. The judge (heath), summoned Daz’s final moments of freedom up by saying, “We do not want this type of racism in a civilized country”. Dont get me wrong but what has civilized and islam got in common?

  7. Steve thank you for the post.

I think this needs more public attention. England really has reached mythic levels of absurdity in justice by this decision. The BBC piece leads one to believe that he can’t really believe this stuff but it was all a ploy to get a better flat. Either his lawyer concocted that as a strategy (which clearly didn’t work) or the BBC wants to make sure that everyone knows that anti-Islamic sentiments are too awful for anyone to ‘really’ have.

The real crime is that someone is doing jail time in a western nation for speaking their mind about a religion. The fact that what he said is true, is actually secondary.

  8. The ploy of getting a flat was just a smokescreen concocted by Daz at the time, if you have any anti muslim views then the law does come down very hard on you (as Daz well knew). From what Daz told me before he had his liberties taken away from him, this Ashley Talbot who was the only one who complained about the material in the window didnt see eye to eye with Daz for a while, so I believe there was no offence to him from Daz’s posters, just a way to get back at him.

  9. I would like to do an interview with him via Skype when he is able to. If you could ask him for me, that would be great. I think he should appeal immediately. Surely British law allows for showing your own views on your own home.

  10. You would think so my friend, maybe in a country which doesnt try its damned hardest to make the indigenous race hate itself.

I will be happy to ask him to do an interview with you when he is released, he is one of many in this country who doesnt like how things are looking for the future, and I’m sure he would love to put his point of view across.

    Many thanks.

  11. Agreed, free speech in the UK is not an absolute but then it never was. There are no parallel “1st amendment” laws in Britain.

Several things mentioned in the story made me wonder if the man needs an IQ test:

    1. jailing this fellow will mean a lapse in care for his disabled father – which he knew he risked by his behavior.

    2. His father’s welfare ought to have been of high consideration by the court, which doesn’t appear to be concerned about the well-being of an elderly disabled person. However, it ought to have been the primary consideration of this fellow to begin with.

    3. There is a big cognitive dissonance here: the fellow grows pot in his house and at the same time calls attention to himself by plastering his windows with anti-Islam posters?? The question of whether his posters are true (no doubt they are) is secondary to whether it was wise of this guy to publicly risk his pot-growing enterprise and his father’s care…IOW, sometimes we need to use discernment about priorities.

    4. A lot of strange vibes here: he was turned in by someone named Ashley, not someone named Mohammed. A real dhimmi situation or two neighbors who clashed…sounds like those old WWII stories.

We need ppl to stand up against the encroachment of sharia against the ancient codes of common law. But we need them to be smart about it; instead this guy’s strategy seems rather ummm…random. I hope he survives in jail.

I hope his father survives, too.

  12. I can’t believe it. Twelve months for criticising Islam, for offending someone.
I don’t know why I’m surprised, given the pathetic nature of our justice system, not to mention our country, and the pathetic two faced clones our “educated” electorate consistently vote in, it shouldn’t be a shock.
Twelve months for something that shouldn’t even be a crime, pathetic.
When are people going to wake the fuck up. What will it take, mass graves, burning buildings, death camps?
Jesus, it makes me despair for democracy. Although given the average intelligence of the average human being, I really don’t know why I’m surprised.
The last years of Rome were like this.

  13. @Steve Scrimshaw
Could you tell us what the “offensive” posters were and said?
No article seems to tell us this information, merely that they were “offensive”.
    Cheers m8.

  14. The more they put people in jail the bigger the eventual explosion will be. The people in charge are idiots. They keep importing muslims who are only in our countries to exploit or preach islam. Someone should break him out of prison. Who goes to jail for something they stick in their window? The British state is an enemy of the people. I remember being in Liecester square and you can see a table of furry muslims with hate literature. No one jails them.

  15. This is positively monstrous. Eeyore if Steve gets through to you can you let me know please? I might know some people who might be able to publicize this further.

  16. The real terrorists are really here in our heartland and in all the countries of Europe.
    They are Muslims.

They have infiltrated to the highest levels of government and our judicial, economic, political, media and other systems.

These are ably assisted by the multicultural/PC Quislings who hope to be left alone if the subordination of our country and those of others is concluded by the supremacy of the Ummah.

Muslims don”t like or respect traitors – but will use them at every opportunity to deceive others.

Slightly to the fore I relate a case that signifies everything that is wrong and is getting worse.

Gainsborough man jailed over anti-Islam images in his flat window
    “Friday, March 09, 2012
A GAINSBOROUGH man who plastered his front window with vile anti-Islamic hate literature has been jailed for a year.
Darren Conway, a self-confessed supporter of right-wing organisations, was given a 12-months’ sentence at Lincoln Crown Court. – Note the condemnatory usage of language.
Many were offensive – attacking both the prophet Mohammed and the Muslim religion, the court was told on Tuesday that carer Conway had covered the front window of his ground floor flat in Heaton Street in Gainsborough with 17 photographs and posters.
Conway, 44, had denied displaying the religiously aggravated hate material on April 16 last year, but he was convicted following a short trial earlier this year, when sentencing was postponed for reports to be prepared.
Judge Michael Heath told Conway: “To describe the material you put in your window as grossly offensive is an understatement.”There is no place in a civilised society for conduct of that sort and the only sentence I can justify for it is an immediate custodial sentence.”Conway was also given a three-month concurrent jail sentence – to run alongside the longer term – after admitting unlawful production of cannabis.
Sixteen cannabis plants were found growing in his home when police visited to investigate the hate crime.
Christopher Lowe, prosecuting, said that Conway, who admitted to supporting both the BNP and the English Defence League, was caught after a member of the public complained to police.”Later that day police attended the premises and found 17 posters and images in the front window in full public view,” said Mr Lowe “The majority of the displayed posters and images were undoubtedly offensive to the Islamic faith”
Conway was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody.”He appeared to make out that those posters were, more or less, an opportunity to get back at his landlord.”He was trying to justify them on a political and religious basis.”In the back room was found a small grow of cannabis plants. Sixteen plants were growing under heated lamps.
“Tony Stanton (this is his “defence lawyer”), in mitigation, said Conway appeared to have displayed the material as part of an ongoing dispute with his landlord, he said Conway had no history of similar offending and spent much of his time caring for his elderly father.
“His father has suffered multiple strokes and cannot get out,” said Mr Stanton.
“This defendant involves himself in regular activity such as shopping for his father.
That person would suffer should he lose his liberty.
I take this to mean they don’t care if this “Islamophobe” is imprisoned and his father eventually dies or ends up being cared for in some form of home.

    A comment from a local.

“This guy puts posters in his window expressing his views and he gets 12 months in prison, a labour MP headbutts 1 person and assaults 4 other people and he gets a 12 month community order plus a £3000 fine, hurt someones feelings and you go to prison, hurt someone physically and you walk away, that’s British justice for you, as has been said on this site before british justice is a joke, it tends to look the other way if you’ve got money and it sends you to prison if you haven’t.

This much more serious than people give it credit for.

This man has been jailed for a year for displaying images that could cause offence on his own property and the judge made it absolutely clear that his was the primary offence – not the cultivation of Cannabis.

The primary reason he was jailed was because he “displayed images that were offensive to the Muslim faith”. And that he was a “Self confessed supporter or right wing organisations” so (and no matter what your opinions on the BNP or EDL that are both legal organisations).

So this means that sentencing can include your political or social views. This is inferred but not explicitly stated, as if this is a slur on his character and these particular “right wing organisations were obviously referring to the EDL or BNP. This also was implied but not stated – but what leaps to mind when your hear the phrase “right wing” ? Now, being a reasonable man I could walk past his window and look at this and find it offensive.
However these are his opinions and I may well find them offensive but he is entitled to them, but does this justify a 12 month jail sentence for a man who is the sole carer for his ailing dad ?

Whilst Muslims insult our troops and are on trial for the mass rape of our young women and promise terrorism if we do not comply with their wishes.

I will reprint what he Multicult/PC scumbag judge said;”To describe the material you put in your window as grossly offensive is an understatement.”There is no place in a civilised society for conduct of that sort and the only sentence I can justify for it is an immediate custodial sentence.”

But if the posters had related to Christianity would the same thing have been said ?
The answer is obviously no as there have been many desecration’s of the Christian faith in our country and not a single one has been prosecuted.

This is the thin end of the wedge and Sharia Law is being enacted by our judicial system.

This thing that calls itself a judge should be sacked or deported to a Muslim country where he could exercise his loathing of western jurisprudence without hindrance.

  17. Thankyou Eyore for the BBC article. I wen’t thru about 6 different articles and press releases on it but didn’t see that one.

And thanks steve for posting what you know about this. If I’d seen your comments it would have saved me some time and asprins.

It should be reiterated that the person who wrote the article for This is Lincolnshire had an agenda far beyond merely presenting the facts. It was the propoganda elements that made me suspicious in the first place and they are not changed by the fact that the story is true. ThisIsLinconshire should be taken to task for the bias at the beginning of the article.

  18. Its just unbelievable that this can happen. I am truly shocked. Since when has just displaying a poster that a member of a certain group could be offended by even been considered a crime? I grew up thinking we could express ourselves freely about whatever we liked as long as it wasnt telling people to physically hurt someone. I find Islamic ideology and Islamic history offensive but I get that in my face nearly every day because of the symbols they wear.

  19. The X Factor watching public will not wake up unless this stuff is put in front of them time and again until such time as they get it.
Every opportunity must be used to wake the sheep up.Even if you don’t buy newspapers, ones with good headlines can be left in a car and be seen by thousands more over many months, rather than just on the day.
The public are in a daze, they need to be hit over and over again with the truth.
