I know that there are ex-pat Iranians in the West who are against the mullahs, none really getting on any kind of soapbox however, besides Reza Khalili.
This morning I heard Jian Ghomeshi from CBC waxing poetic about an Oscar presentation on the daily life of Iranians, how much like ourselves they are (which we know is true of course from a human viewpoint). Yes, daily hopes, successes and disappointments, we are all one with a big collective hug we all spiral upward toward transcendence complete with sentimental background music.
After this little slice of human oneness, and that being said, he implores us to forget about the “hysterical headlines” we hear about in the media.
Go back to sleep Canada…. it’s all hysterical hype, that’s all it is. (Really Jian?)
Something disturbing here, like a calm before a catastrophe.
In light of all her statements, it’s too bad they didn’t assasinate the wife too.
