That’s pretty much why I’m not a teacher today, among other reasons. Situation ain’t rly different in the EU.
i cant help thinking that the kids of today are in for a rough ride when they leave school and reality takes over.
The legacy of George Lukacs lives on.
She lost her credibility with me when she started misquoting Bloom and manipulating his words for her own. There is nothing wrong with “challenging fixed beliefs” – people are often ignorant of many things – teachers must challenge those misconceptions in order to teach! She spun the subject so that it sounds like the goal of education is to make you believe one political ideology or another, which isn’t what Bloom advocated at all. It may be what some twisted people want, but to impose that garbage on the entire educational community is naive at best, politically motivated at worst.
James that is what the left is doing the the schools.
