MULTIPLE CAR CRACK-UP ON FINNISH HIGHWAY CAUGHT ON FILM BY CANADIAN……..

I have driven this brand new stretch of highway a number of times, it’s a two lane road each way, that originates in Jyväskylä, in central Finland. Keep in mind that these cars have either studded or special treaded winter tires for these conditions. There was an initial accident, that was being handled by police and an ambulance, then came the massive accident of cars slamming into each other as they approached the scene of the smaller, earlier one.

This was filmed by a Canadian motorist.: Lahti-Helsinki Highway crash 12.00 03.02.2012

  1. totally hilarious, idiots on ice, lots of these in Canada too, but the ones who got out and ran were wise, I travelled twice through the Rockies, to BC and back in ice storms, where all sorts of 4 wheel drives, trucks, and idiots who thought their cars would and tires would make up for their inability to drive in harsh conditions, a slowly chugged past them all in the ditches over miles and miles to a lone over night stop, in an Echo, with 13 inch tires, not my choice for the drive, but got caught both ways where chains would have been dangerous…
Hilarious film, and it looks like no one was seriously hurt

  2. It’s a classic example of complacency while driving too fast in conditions which don’t allow good enough visibility. The same thing happens with fog or even smoke drifting across the roads like a recent example of a pile-up in Florida where several people died. I’ve sat in a vehicle and gave warnings to slow down because of low visibility on the road ahead and yet the driver wouldn’t slow down. Utter stupidity indeed. Even when I yelled out “are you stupid?”, they barely reduced their speed. Just like a pack of lemmings following one another and running headlong over a cliff. It’s the pack mentality at work here showing just how stupid it is to follow it.

  3. At least it’s in slow motion unlike the Florida pileup that happened at 80mph and killed 12.

Slow down if you can’t see!
