TRIBUNE INVESTIGATION: Imam condemns ordeal of youngsters still in primary school amid alarming number of abuse cases

AN alarming number of under-age girls – some as young as nine – are being forced into marriage in Islington, according to a leading campaign group.
The Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) claim that at least 30 girls in the borough were forced into marriage in 2010.
The practice was condemned by the Imam of Finsbury Park Mosque, who said such marriages were against Islam and “unacceptable”.
He pledged to invalidate any marriage which he said were carried out by “back-street Imams”.
IKWRO, which made headlines last month when they revealed there had been almost 3,000 “honour-based” violence cases in 2010, has shown the Tribune records which revealed at least three 11-year-old girls and two nine-year-olds had been forced into marriage with older men within Islington. The oldest girls involved were 16.
They have warned that hundreds of Islington girls could be suffering sexual, emotional and physical scars as a result of the child marriages every year and are calling for teachers, social workers and police to be better trained to spot and manage the abuse.
Information from the Ministry of Justice, following a Freedom of Information request, revealed that 32 Forced Marriage Protection Order applications were made for children under 16 in Britain last year.

So far, thank God, we put these perverts (pedophiles) in jail in this country. Let us hope that we will stay alert and keep a watchful eye on these obscene human beings.
How long are the ordinary people going to tolerate their elected leaders kowtowing to the perverted cultures of the world?
Richard many english are not ordinary and will keep silent and let this carry on. Sadly I feel the uk is lost to the muslims. Or there will be a civil war. I come across so many liberals without a clue just what there ideology creates and destroys. As I have said before only when things get very bad for the middle class in the uk will something happen. Most i speak to just say-‘ it’s fine where i live’ or i’m a racist. I have little sympathy for what muslims do to each other. I just wish they would do it in their own poverty stricken country.
It is possible that in the not too distant future, a civil war would be the best option. As it is, a civil war is impossible. Governments in the west do what it is they can safely do. No one wants to really put themselves at risk. No one in government certainly. So the laws forbidding violence or offense to anyone, no matter how they may be worded, are only actually applied to non-Muslims. The government in essence, is using its current mandate on force to keep its own, law-abiding Western population in control while Muslims and leftist agitators grow in strength and boldness. Not necessarily because governments want this result. But because they are spineless and don’t know what else to do.
Any westerner who attempts to fight back will get 10X the force of the law and derision from state controlled media that any Muslim terrorist gets, most of whom mass-media flagellates itself to sanitize Islam from its actions.
This allows the continued illusion of ‘order and good-government’ right up to where we are experiencing an ‘Arab-spring’ of our own if we aren’t already.
To have a civil war means our side actually has a central authority that would allow us to fight back and we are a long long way from that.
Eeyore I would agree with you if there weren’t other options then the fully organized civil war like the British or American ones, what is probably coming is going to be closer to individuals deciding they have had enough and others seeing the news reports thinking that is a good example and acting on their own. This type of war won’t start quickly and it won’t end quickly, it will run for several decades with the government alternating between fighting and semi-assisting the rebels. Think about the WWII resistance groups but without US and Brit help, they were started by small groups and were slowly growing when the invasion of Europe occurred. The coming mess in Europe will be a mix of the WWII resistance, the riots that started the fall of the North African rulers and the 20th Century European terror campaigns.
I think that in the long run the good guys will win but the long run may last most of this century.
