Hindu girls abducted, forced to convert to Islam — a growing trend in Pakistan

Bharti, A 15 year-old, is the 18th Hindu girl to have been reportedly abducted, forced to convert to Islam, and forced to marry a Muslim man, in the Lyari area of Karachi, a city in the south of Pakistan, the Express Tribune of India reported yesterday. The real number is probably much higher. In 2009, in the province of Sindh 18 Hindu girls had also been kidnapped.   

The family of the teenage girl filed a complaint with Bhagdadi police station, and a court hearing has begun. On the first day of the hearing Bharti — who has been renamed Ayesha, apparently after the favorite wife of Islam’s prophet Mohammed — appeared “clad in a black ‘abaya’ ” and hardly acknowledged her parent’s presence.

  2. This has been happening to Christians girls for at least the past 14 years probably longer.

  3. This hideous state of affairs needs to be tackled internationally and it international front page news everywhere. One has to wonder what would happen if it was the other way around? It seems to be happening everywhere and even in the UK where underage girls are being targeted, then raped and forced into a life of drugs and prostitution by these immoral, pedophilic filth!

    Children and the young generally enjoy a special protected status everywhere even amongst the cut throats and thieves. But nothing is off limits, nothing is sacred for these degenerates, they defile the sacred in everything they touch!

  4. This is the alleged scenario. This is the complaint filed by the girls parents. The matter is now in court. Where the girl can speak for herself. Please learn to examine news rather than running away with them.
