Labour’s open-door policies – and not the promise of prosperity – were the main reason why immigration soared over the past 14 years, an academic inquiry found yesterday.
The report said ‘the increase in net immigration to the UK was not driven primarily by the economic performance of the UK or other countries’.
Instead, it pointed to immigration policies.

The report by academics from the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the University of Leicester was based on the findings of large-scale official surveys of immigration. It was published by the Economic Journal of the Royal Economic Society.

Free appeals for those refused visas to visit family members in Britain cost taxpayers £1million a week, according to a report by MigrationWatch yesterday.
It said three-quarters of net immigration to Britain since the mid-1990s was a result of ‘structural change’ associated with government policies. The other quarter was driven by friends and families coming to join migrants already in Britain.
The study undermines the idea that the rosy-looking economy before the crash of 2007 and 2008 was the magnet that drew about 3million immigrants into the country over a decade.
This in turn means that, although thousands of businesses have benefited from hard-working and highly qualified migrants, it was not the needs of the economy that brought them into Britain.
I’m surrounded by immigrants in London. Most of my neighbours cannot speak English, despite being here for up to 15 years. Most of them do not work – in fact, most of them are in receipt of so many benefits that they are on the equivalent of pre-taxation salaries of around £80,000. The looney liberal left go on and on about the poverty of these immigrants, how they can’t afford PCs etc. Well, the lie to that is that no matter where I am in my apartment, when I fire up my laptop I can see at least 4 wi-fi networks in addition to my own. And when I move to a different room, I get to see other wi-fi networks. These poor immigrant households must have more than 1 wifi network in each apartment. The latest addition to this neighbourhood was a man who works as a taxi-driver who speaks almost no english. Imagine that, a city with 7 million people, and an area with some of the highest unemployment figures in the country, simply can’t find people with a driving license. We are importing such “necessary workers” even if they cannot speak English, and even if it means they bring in 5 other members of their family who also cannot speak English.
The Labour Party should never, ever be allowed back into government. And I say that as someone who voted Labour for 20 out of the last 30 years. They have destroyed London and several other cities.

That punishment is just does not fit the crime. The crime is treason towards the people and civilisation and culture of a people. I cannot think of a suitable punishment for a crime that has no parallel in history – an elected government deliberately engaging in cultural genocide.

That is the awful truth. The Labor Party has literally sold out their country to the immigrants in exchange for promises of block votes and Memorandums of Understanding. They used to take people out and hang them for doing things like that, but now it’s just fine and dandy to be a traitor. The “Occupy Movement”, for instance, are traitors who go around(ineptly)looking for opportunities to wage psychological warfare against their own countries by shutting down an industry here, a government service there… That’s what hostile foreign governments do in a time of war. Somewhere along the line the media decided that these people were some vital part of the democratic process and they’ve been protected ever since. Go figure…
All leftist parties should be banned forever. No matter what country they’re in. They’re all vile traitors trying to destroy the western civilisation and it’s peoples along with them. The traitors should of course all being court marshalled and then thourougly shot, hanged or beheaded.
