Poppy-burning Muslims plan new ‘hell for heroes’ demonstration on November 11

Isn’t this how the EDL started? This group of ungrateful bastards disrupted a Nov 11th ceremony for British troops, in Britain, many of whom I would wager are receiving a large amount of government goodies in England. As I recall, Chaudery himself admitted to getting government money but saying that it was “Allah’s money and not the taxpayers of the UK” or words to that effect. Nice dodge. In any case, here they go again.

An extreme Muslim group which caused outrage by burning a poppy last Remembrance Sunday is planning further disruption on November 11, with a twisted ‘Hell for Heroes’ campaign.

The demo, which mocks charity for injured soldiers Help for Heroes, is due to take place outside the Royal Albert Hall, the same location where a poppy was burned last year.

Emdadur Choudhury, who burned the poppy, was fined just £50.

The Muslims Against Crusades protestors, who have sought permission from police to hold the rally, aim to chant and disrupt the minute’s silence held in honour of the war dead.

Firebrand cleric Anjem Choudary, who has links to the Muslims Against Crusades group, said: ‘It’s going to be called Hell for Heroes and it will be around the Royal Albert Hall.

‘It will involve a protest and not observing the minute’s silence. We had a significant amount of support from Muslims around the world last year.

‘It’s one thing to remember the dead from the First World War and subsequent wars but it’s quite another when they say we need to remember the dead from Afghanistan and Iraq.

‘It’s become a political football and if they are going to use Remembrance Day for that purpose it’s only right that we have a counter protest, which we say is for Muslims.

‘The army is currently at war with Muslims in Muslim countries.’

Choudary also played down reports that MP Mike Freer had feared for his safety after a protest at a north London mosque where he was holding a surgery.

Up to a dozen protesters forced their way into the mosque where Mr Freer was meeting constituents, prompting officials to lock him in a private room for his own safety.

Mr Freer, a member of Conservative Friends of Israel, said he was called a ‘Jewish homosexual pig’.

He said he only later realised the MAC website had made reference to MP Stephen Timms, who was stabbed in his surgery by a Muslim women.

Choudary played down the protest saying: ‘It was peaceful and there were no arrests.

‘As far as I am aware there is no suggestion anyone from MAC said anything anti-semitic or homophobic.’

  1. In My own opinion let them do it and don’t confront them. Then after the hate by Islamic groups do their thing (HOPEFULLY some of it shown on TV.) The EDL could make a statement on their site stating how the British people have spoken Islam can have their way.

This does a number of things.
    1. Primarily when two groups fight the issues are no longer the focus. They only see the fight.

    2. The media has successfully daemonize the EDL we have to accept that. Let them think they actually won. State something like we live in a democracy and the British people want us to back down so be it. The media will no longer have an out for Islamic hate (the EDL.)
Islam will have to stand on its own in the eyes of the British people.
Just a reminder the media uses the EDL to Islams advantage by saying the EDL propagates Islamic hate.

    3. Remember Islam is good at one thing and one thing only which is propaganda.
They have the Media on their side that needs to turn around.

  2. I can see where not holding a counter protest might, I repeat might gain some publicity for the Moslem protest. What can’t happen is for the EDL to fold their tents and steal away, they are about the only organized resistance in Britain.

Were the medals the little kid was wearing his fathers or his grandfathers, either way that really tugs at the heart strings.

  3. Let the muslims act out–in your face to England– and let’s see what the public says this time around. But EDL should continue. They are the only voice. They have become non-violent(compare them to the rest) and the concerns they bring up are going mainstream. Even if the majority do not accept EDL, the concerns they have are mainstream. Other groups are voicing them, validating their merit.
