Turkey has developed a new radar system for its US-made F-16 fighter jets that will allow them to fire at Israeli targets, Ankara’s Star Gazete reported on Tuesday. The orders to modify the system reportedly came directly from Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip

The new radar system – Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) – is a defensive command and control system developed by Erdogan says flotilla raid was ’cause for war’

The US system is comprised of lists of “friends” and “foes.” The system’s settings are designed to prevent pilot error as well, to an extent, disabling the ability to fire at “friendly” targets even by mistake. The US system identified

The new system, however, allows Turkey control the “friend or foe” list independently.

  1. And the Turkish Prime Minister is meeting with the current Egyptian leader to “increase” cooperation and friendship between those two nations, this at the time they are both breaking diplomatic relations with Israel. Then this occurs, the fuse has been laid and lite now all we can do is wait for it to burn to the explosive.

  2. And, without the infidel US, who would have provided Erdoganistan with that? Their age-old Russian enemies? I doubt it.

  3. Remember he was given the planes when we were staring down the Soviets, yes he is an enemy now but he was an ally them, not allying with him would have let the Soviets take over Turkey and probably the entire middle east. I have never trusted Turkey but we needed them during the Cold War.

  4. I just read the report from A7 news that Turkey has dispatched 3 warships to the Eastern Med to defend against Israeli vessels.

  5. Remember after the fall of the old Soviet Union one high Russian official said we were going to miss them? Looks like he may have been right.
