  1. She seems to be mainly interested in athiesm.

In this one she holds a 4, no wait 5, nope its 6, a 6 way fully scripted argument with herself. In 6 different get ups- A muslim, a christian, an athiest and some others. This is one smart chick!

  2. Absolutely LOVE her sign off:

“Peace!… though not as defined by Islam.”
LOL – definitely using that one.

  3. Oh no, not her again. She’s an atheist bimbo who confesses in a video that she began to dislike the Orthodox Church when she grew up and discovered the Church was against abortion and homosexuality.
And she regurgitates the usual anti-christian rhetoric, with such tactics as interpreting literally the passages in the Old Testament that suit her… Remember the Shibboleth test? The original one. She was astonished that people would kill others for not being able to correctly pronounce a word. I’m not joking, she missed the whole point. That’s hardly smart in my opinion.
Can’t you find some other Romanians to present? She’s only representative for the young atheists who think they’re more intelligent than everyone else and make blogs to hear themselves speak.

  4. Also, can the author of this blog please put a visible disclaimer in the About page that this blog is NOT related to Vlad ?epes and to Romania or the Romanian people.
Vlad’s name should never have been hijacked like this, but since it already happened the least you can do is put a disclaimer. This blog’s purpose may be a good one, but Vlad is a symbol that doesn’t belong to you (actually in Romania he’s a symbol of integrity, more specifically anti-corruption, the symbol for resistance against Islam is the martyr lord Constantin Brâncoveanu, because he died for his faith).
This is not your history to play with. You won’t see a Romanian blog taking and using the name of a Canadian personality. Please show respect to our history and put a clearly visible disclaimer. Thank you.

  5. Good vid. So what if she’s an atheist? That’s an ad hominem. She’s right and her point is well argued.

  6. An excellent video by a brave young woman with a healthy and rational absence of belief in the impossible.

  7. Ioana:

This is the first time I seen her video and I thought it was great I don’t know anything about what she said regarding “Shibboleth.” if you can fill us in or give a link that would be nice.

There is a lot of Atheist using youtube and other forums on the net for their sermons now which by definition makes them a religion. Before the net they had no place of worship or regular meetings which made them a non-religious group today they do use sermons and have regular meeting places.

I do not have a problem with them practicing their religion which is to claim all other religions are bad but they shouldn’t pretend anymore that they are not a religion.

    Doublespeak.

  9. OxAO, here is a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaV_BLUkS5Y, the Shibboleth part is soon after minute 2:00
Interesting point you make about atheists, I quite agree, except I’d call it a belief system rather than religion, as they don’t seem to have established rituals. Anyway, they are well organized. Very few but very vocal. Lots of them in our press. It’s annoying to see such people in the spotlight like they’re very important, when they’re but a tiny minority most people don’t even take seriously – of course, most people are only orthodox in name and in fact as theologically illiterate as these atheists, but they retain some core beliefs and the rest they make up in superstition. Few Romanians have actually received a religious education from their parents or educated their children accordingly, instead communism indoctrinated everyone with the belief that humans are evolved animals.
Eeyore, kindly don’t ignore my request. And I don’t know if I’m the only one experiencing this, probably not: the comment notification system isn’t working, I didn’t get any notification although 3 comments were posted after mine.

  10. Ioana,

All of the conceptual knowledge that a consciousness possesses is ultimately formed by the abstraction and integration of perceptions, all of which are formed by the integration of sensations received from the sensory apparatus of the material body in which the consciousness resides. And all sensations are triggered by stimuli from physical entities that exist out there in the universe. In short, all of the knowledge that a consciousness possesses is knowledge of that which is out there in the universe. In the absence of a universe, a hypothetical consciousness would have no content, i.e., would possess no knowledge. And since to be conscious is to be conscious of something, a consciousness with nothing to be conscious of could not exist. The point here is that a physical universe (existence) must precede (be primary to) any consciousness. This is known as the principle of the primacy of existence. This principle excludes all possibility of the existence of an all-creative god, benevolent or malevolent. So, not only is there no evidence for a god, there can never be any evidence for a god, because god is a concept with no basis in the facts of reality.

With all due respect, you really should endeavour to accept reality for what it is – not for what you desire or wish it to be – and strive to make your life on earth the best that it can be for you, because it is the only life you will ever have.

  11. Well apparently some people like her just fine. She is speaking (or spoke) at a conference alongside Ayan Hirsi Ali and Christopher Hitchens and is speaking at Denkfest in Zürich this weekend (sept 8-11, 2011).
