At long last, someone holds a smug, overfed entitled government funded artistto task for over a million dollars the rest of us have to work for.

Part II is here

I must say, its quite  piss off to hear this woman go on about her lifetime of doing exactly what she wants and have it paid for by people who work at actual jobs and then listen to her call it a sacrifice and claim it should be above scrutiny by those who actually pay for it. Yes, she is a commie. Arts should generate revenue for the government as they do in the US and not be a net drain on the rest of us not to mention be a little cabal of leftist elitists and their culture of smug entitlement and of course, vastly superior to the mere peons who have to pay for her choice of activity.

  1. I’m sorry, I find the interviewer obnoxious and the whole thing a set-up to blindside the dancer. I don’t think that art should be solely funded by the private sector. If you look at the music that comes out of the private sector right now it’s horrendous. I don’t think artists should be able to soak the government, but I do think there’s a place for public funding of the arts. Frankly, a million dollars over 13 years or so to fund her projects is a pretty conservative figure.

  2. “Belittling her community!!!!!” – “sacreficing for the common good!!!!” . . .
I just about lost my lunch after listening to that arrogant artsy fartsy twit. She is a perfect example of a leech in our society. If she feels so strongly about her ‘art’ than she should defend it on the sole basis of having it supported by the free market. She would probably starve to death in a few days.
