Fascinatingly worded objections to the UN declaration of universal human rights by Islamic nations. Note the actual use of the right to subject non-Muslims to “dhimmitude” because of the sharia. Here is the website on the declaration at Wikipedia.

Criticism

Islamist countries such as Sudan, Pakistan, Iran, and Saudi Arabia have criticized the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for its perceived failure to take into the account the cultural and religious context of Islamist countries because they claimed their governments were based on the Sharia.[20] In 1982, the Iranian representative to the United Nations, Said Rajaie-Khorassani, articulated the position of his country regarding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, by saying that the UDHR was “a secular understanding of the Judeo-Christian tradition”, which could not be implemented by Muslims without trespassing the Islamic law.[21] On 30 June 2000, Muslim nations that are members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference[22] officially resolved to support the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam,[23] an alternative document that says people have “freedom and right to a dignified life in accordance with the Islamic Shari’ah”.[24] However, a dignified life in accordance with the Islamic Shari’ah is only assured for Muslims due to the application of Dhimmitude to all non-Muslims.

  1. This means that everyone conversant with Sharia law knows it is incompatable with even the concept of universal human rights. It is in no way compatable with any civilized systems of law or ethics. If they didn’t despise the concept of universal human rights they would have signed the UN declaration of universal human rights. But they didn’t sign it. Period.

    That the muslim countries did not sign the UN declaration of universal human rights shows that they do not belive in human rights. The Cairo Decleration was intended to be merely an intentional and insulting obfustication. That rag should be more accuratly labeled the Muslim Decleration of Denial of Human Rights because that is exactly what it is.

    Universal rights and equality is everything Islam is not about.
