US pilot refused to fly with conspicuous Muslims on board.

…and the pilot was correct. The pilot is law aboard an aircraft and he has the right, including and right up to shooting someone on board who threatens the safety of the aircraft, to deal as he sees fit with all on board. In this case, he rightly assumed that other passengers would be uncomfortable with conspicuously religious Muslims and it might make for a less safe and serene flight. We all know this pilot is correct. This can’t even be racism according to the bizarre and absurd new-left definition of it that includes Muslims as he didn’t throw off people who believed in Islam so much as people who wore the costume of those who tend to blow up aircraft for Islam.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Two Muslim religious leaders say they were asked to leave a commercial airliner in Memphis on Friday and were told it was because the pilot refused to fly with them aboard.

Masudur Rahman, who is also an adjunct instructor of Arabic at the University of Memphis, said by phone from the terminal at Memphis International Airport that he and another imam had already been allowed to board their Delta Connection flight to Charlotte, North Carolina before they were asked to get off the plane.

Transportation Security Administration spokesman Jon Allen in Atlanta confirmed the incident and said it was not initiated by that agency.

A Delta Air Lines spokeswoman said the flight was operated by Atlantic Southeast Airlines, which is also based in Atlanta.

“We take security and safety very seriously and the event is currently under investigation,” Atlantic Southeast spokesman Jarek Beem said Friday evening.

Both passengers are Memphis-area residents. Rahman said he was dressed in traditional Indian clothing and his traveling companion was dressed in Arab garb, including traditional headgear.

Rahman said he and Mohamed Zaghloul, of the Islamic Association of Greater Memphis, were cleared by security agents and boarded the plane for an 8:40 a.m. departure.

The aircraft pulled away from the gate, but the pilot then announced the plane must return, Rahman said. When it did, the imams were asked to go back to the boarding gate where Rahman said they were told the pilot was refusing to accept them because some other passengers could be uncomfortable.

Rahman said Delta officials talked with the pilot for more than a half-hour, but he still refused.

The men were taken to a lounge and booked on a later flight. Beem said they flew on to Charlotte later Friday.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused,” Beem said.

The men contacted the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim civil rights and advocacy group in Washington, D.C.

“It’s racism and bias because of our religion and appearance and because of misinformation about our religion.” Rahman said. “If they understood Islam, they wouldn’t do this.”

He said a Delta manager apologized for the pilot’s actions, but that he and Zaghloul never spoke directly with the pilot.

Ibrahim Hooper, of the American-Islamic organization, said the group will follow up with the airline and with the TSA to help ensure such incidents do not continue to occur.

Hooper said airline officials at Memphis tried to resolve the situation, but the pilot refused.

11 Replies to “US pilot refused to fly with conspicuous Muslims on board.”

  1. The pilot was within his rights, however the Moslems are going to go to court and will probably win. thus another small piece of our freedom and safety is taken from us.

  2. Correct Richard. Perhaps some sensitivity training will be offered. If he refuses then there will be problems for him. I am amazed in this environment of the hegemony of pc whites with their brown muzzie friends, the pc white/ brown muslim alliance that threatens the whole world, that this brave pilot stood up to such power. The backlash against him will be immense. He will have problems like he never had before.

  3. What we need is a permanent presence of Weave wearing Negroesses AND thier KKK dressed boyfriends outside the BBC to confuse them with the chanting of PC Scum and Brown Facists! That will get them thinking! Whatever can they mean?! The BBC thinks in predictable ways and the best way is to hit them with something they would never expect. Just imagine how they could make the muzzies a victim in this story when in fact we are victiimised each and every day by the security at airports due to brown muzzie terrorism. The MSM needs to be taught a lesson in a way that confuses them and hounds them forever. They are the enemies of the people. They are the major part of the white pc and brown muzzie overlords who tell us what to think and how to behave. Fox is a bit better but is part of the same gang esentially. Thank God for the internet and the alternative media far away from our facist white pc and brown muzzie overlords.

  4. The pilot will be lucky if he keeps his job, but things are changing and not always for the worse, there are small signs that people are getting fed up with the PC Bull and are starting to move against it.

  5. Who knows if things are changing. This is one brave man. He reminds me of Terry Jones. It is the administration of these places and the white pc crowd who will punish him to the baying of the muzzie overlords. But there do seem to an increase of late in individual and very public attempts at defying the brown/white fascist alliance.

  6. There is an old saying that I didn’t use to understand, come the situation comes the man. As the situation worsens more people step up to be the man that starts the real resistance.

During WWII and the Battle of the Bulge time was bought for the allied forces to redeploy by individuals and sometimes small units saying to hell with it they have made me run as far as I am going to, they can kill me but they can’t make me run. A lot of these men died and most of the others were captured but the slowed the Germans enough for Patton to pull off the logistics miracle of disengaging on a 6 Division front, making a right angle turn, moving 500 miles and reengaging on a 6 Division front. Terry Jones the pilot and others who are stepping up are buying time for the rest of us to get our acts together and elect governments that will support and defend us. Or to decide to replace the current governments if that is what survival takes.

  7. Reading the commentary listed makes me feel as though we have digressed rather than advanced as a nation. Especially in America where few have a pure lineage and all come here for a common purpose, these comments make me afraid for the younger generations. So now that we are finished persecuting Japanese, Blacks, Gays and every other minority group we are moving on to the Muslim community? I will pray for all of you and hope that God relieves you of your ignorance.

  8. Ashamed in America:

Are you well? If a person, let’s say a German for example was to wear a Nazi uniform and lots of his Nazi, co-ideologues were blowing up aircraft and destroying people and property without warning all over the world and trying to impose their Nazi ideology on all the world, would you be OK with a pilot saying he would not fly with 2 on board? Now if that person was to renounce their Nazi beliefs and the pilot still would not fly with him because he hated Germans or white people then I would agree with you 100%.

Islam is a voluntary set of beliefs. It is not a race. Your comment makes specious arguments and the false equivalent that ones belief and ideology is tantamount to a race and it is not in any way. If the pilot would not fly with an Arab on board I would be fighting that as viciously as I fight the totalitarian racist ideology that is Islam and its adherents. But your comment is either deliberately deceptive, or you have not thought this through very thoroughly.

  9. My apologies for the confusion. I was speaking of the commentary and how we as a nation built by people who were discriminated against can tolerate ANY form of prejudice. Are you stating that the clothing a person wears (not the religion, race, sex, creed) is acceptable to be discriminated against? This is my opinion that the person on the plane could have been anyone. Where do we draw the line? Is the woman in the hijab at the market fair game, what about the child in skinny jeans? The man in Muslim garb or the Amish man? We need to do better for our children and remember that people are bad all over. Should we attack all priests and accuse them of being pedophiles because of the issues facing the Catholic Church. When we accept racism, discrimination, prejudice, we invite our own downfall. That is all.
    PS.
With regards to your comments about the Nazi, if I were Jewish living in Europe and born in the age of Hitler the very site of a Nazi uniform would make my blood run cold. I cannot imagine the pain in the hearts of those affected by that travesty. But at the same time you’re describing a specific type of uniforms not just uniforms in general. When you don’t differentiate between the two and you just think its all uniform is when it’s called discrimination.

  10. PS, if you know anything about these terrorists know this. THEY LOOK JUST LIKE US. The ones we should be afraid of are the ones that were educated here, employed here, look act, speak, walk and BLEND IN AS AMERICANS.

  11. Ashamed in America you need to do more studying into revolutions and agents provocateur, which I suspect you probably are. FYI they were people who infiltrated groups that were upset with the government and worked to get them to commit crimes, now they work as internet trolls and work to make people react with statements that an entire group that thinks for themselves can be tarred with.
