Colonel Qaddafi has ordered the disruption of Libyan oil exports by destroying pipelines to the Mediterranean, sources tell Time’s Robert Baer:
“There’s been virtually no reliable information coming out of Tripoli, but a source close to the Gaddafi regime I did manage to get hold of told me the already terrible situation in Libya will get much worse. Among other things, Gaddafi has ordered security services to start sabotaging oil facilities. They will start by blowing up several oil pipelines, cutting off flow to Mediterranean ports. The sabotage, according to the insider, is meant to serve as a message to Libya’s rebellious tribes: It’s either me or chaos.”
Oil has been spiking on fears of a Libyan disruption. Already today the country declared force majeur, effectively canceling oil contracts.
Libya produces 1.9 million barrels of oil per day.
Oil closed over $100 per barrel in London, and close to $100 in New York, look for gas prices to go up along with everything else since all good have to be transported to the stores.
Blowing up pipelines?
This similar to Saddam’s ploy of blowing up the oil-heads and pipelines. This was the act that galvanised the Allies to launch the ground liberation of Kuwait.

Libya’s former justice minister has told a Swedish newspaper that Colonel Gaddafi personally ordered the Lockerbie bombing.
Mustafa Abdel-Jalil told Expressen that he had proof the Libyan leader was behind the attack, which killed 270 people in 1988.

The main reason why the west has accepted millions of Muslim immigrants and not done a thing about either the arming of the Middle East or the appalling human rights abuses done in the name of Islam has been and always will be, OPEC oil and gas.
It also explains why there is more antisemitism in the west than any time since the end of WWII and why there are too many people who think that Israel is evil while the PA is “good”.
Should Libya stop the oil, those parts of Europe that depend on it will merely wring their hands and sit on their hands rather than risk doing what it takes to throw Qaddafi out and place a true democracy in his place.
What ever happened to countries with backbone?
Did they dry up and disappear, only to re-appear in the Muslim world?
And the left has worked hard to create this situation, they have stopped the drilling for oil in the US and even ordered producing wells to shut down. If they hadn’t done this the US (which according to a recent study has well over 50 percent of the world energy reserves) would be totally self sufficent in energy sources, and gas would be down about $1.50 per gallon.
