UK Juggles Islam and Islamism

From Hudson New York

Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, co-Chairperson of the Conservative Party, the senior partner in the United Kingdom’s coalition government, in January gave the Sternberg Lecture Speech at Leicester University on the subject, “Islamophobia.” “For far too many people,” she said, “Islamophobia is seen as a legitimate – even commendable – thing. You could even say that Islamophobia has now passed the dinner-table-test.” This, she told The Telegraph, prior to delivering the speech, meant that: “It has seeped into our society in a way where it is acceptable around dinner to have these conversations where anti-Muslim hatred and bigotry is quite openly discussed.”

The “dinner-table” image is clever, suggesting not only that “Islamophobia” is respectable, but that whenever two or three non-Muslims get together the conversation surely turns to attacking Muslims. Despite rampant political correctness in the media and political class, the speech was almost universally attacked. The Prime Minister’s office also denied seeing the speech prior to its having been delivered, although the media had reported on it 24 hours earlier, and some reports suggested that it had, in fact, been seen there.

Among the critics was Daily Mail columnist Richard Littlejohn, who reminded his readers that “In politics, as in comedy, timing is everything.” With the recent enquiry into the London 7/7 bombings and fresh revelations of Pakistani Muslim gangs raping and pimping White non-Muslim girls, Wari’s timing, he suggested, could not have been worse. According to reports, at least hundreds of girls, between the ages of 11 and 16 have been abused, raped, drugged, and prostituted by the gangs. There had been a history of the police authorities overlooking the gangs and their sexual crimes against children since they feared being branded “racist and, of course, “Islamophobic.”

However, in a certain respect, Littlejohn’s remark was unfair to the baroness. After all, when would have been the right time for the speech? If Warsi had given it a month earlier it would have been during the aftermath of the Stockholm suicide terrorist bombing (the perpetrator of which had been radicalized in the British city of Luton), and on the same day as 12 Islamist terror suspects were arrested for planning mass casualty attacks inside the UK.

If Warsi had waited until February… Read More.

  1. How can you juggle one item?

    Islam is Islamism.

You cannot separate the ideology into two “opposing” forces, since it is the ummah that you are actually talking about, which is of one piece in the minds of Muslims. Even though Islam has been split into, among other groups, Shia, Sunni, Alevi, Amidayah and Ismali, the end result is the same.

That whole “dar-al-islam/dar-al-habr” thing simply gets in the way.

  2. I think the reporters need some education in Islam, and given what is happening in the Middle East they are going to get one real soon.

  3. Islamophobia – another weasel word invented by the hate-filled reverse nazi left, as are “angryphone”, and “francophobe”.

The left habitually deflects the facts to make the patriot be the racist.

It has happened before in Quebec – the targets were any non-francophone who objected to Bill 101, it is happening now in the EU – the targets are those who object to having their daughters be prostitutes for muslim gangs and eating halal meat and happening in the USA.

Anyone who criticizes Obama is racist.

The left – particularly those in the media, are so dry of ideas, all they can do is call people racist when in fact, they are the “reverse nazis” tools for the left of center enemy (muslims or communists or socialists or politicians).

Q: This is a conservative, this Baroness Sayeeda Warsi ? In the UK, a conservative would feel at home with Canadian liberals and the NDP.

Do you think CBS Logan has learnt a lesson from her nightmare at Tahrir square?

I do not think so. So ingrained is the liberalism in their heads, that they wont see the awful truth of Islam even as it raped and beheaded their nearest and dearest.

  5. Muslim men think there’s nothing wrong with assaulting a woman they see as sluttish or unIslamic. It’s a fact! Those rare examples where Muslim men don’t think that way, well they are the small number who have been westernised, no thanks to multi-cultishism. The targeted grooming of pre-teen English girls by gangs of Pakistani men in northern English towns like Bradford should serve as a wake up call to western women

  6. DP111 I doubt if she learned anything, it will take more then a gang rape to teach the normal leftist reporter that Islam is a violent religion and that the radical Moslems are the peaceful ones.

  7. I think Cameron is working within the paremeters of redifining Islam. This is a clever technique but it also leads to distortion or tackiya when used by muslims who preach slam is a relgion of peace to the kuffar and then go into kuffarphobia dinner table talk. So ultimately it plays into the hands of the enemy. On the question of Warsi she herself is a dinner table kuffarphobia speaker. She probably makes money giving dinner tabel anti kuffar talks so she knows all about what she accuses others of doing. Hypocrite. I hope channel four will do a undercover dinner table kuffar phobia investigation on her dinner time hatreds of non muslims.

  8. DP111 check out the way CBS tried to hide the fact she was attacked, she had given her permission and they still didn’t want to air the story.
