  1. If this is put to a vote the prisoners will not be able to vote, and they shouldn’t, this is just the left trying to buy votes. As I have said before the EU won’t last much longer, this is just another nail in its coffin.

  2. This is just more evidence that the pandemic of the mental disorder of Liberalism has infected the ruling class in the EU. It seems that one dictate after another are being handed down from the ‘Throne in Brussels’, leaving local and national governments as nothing more than a charade or sham.

  3. to Big Frank: It does not only seem like the EU commission dictates, they do rule by decree, they know it better. National govt’s are supposed to transform the decree into national law and they can’t do a thing about it, because else the EU courts (not sure if they are called so) step in and sort of enforce the EU pseudo-legislation. So much for power to the people, but you get used to it.

  4. Little Joe this situation is called a dictatorship by Oligarchs, 50 years ago no one in the West would have stood still for a small group of unelected bureaucrats being able to dictate anything to the national governments. The various Defense Leagues and the raising disagreement with the orders from the EU are going to destroy the EU, probably much faster then anyone expects.

  5. Hmmm, lets see now.

Hundreds of thousands of prisoners are incarcerated who hate the system as it stands. There are tens of thousands who would convert to Islam in a minute if they thought that they could get away with exacting vengeance on society. There are thousands more Muslims already in prison who want to take out the west.

    What could possibly go wrong?

  6. RRWest you got that right, the left thinks they can buy votes for their agenda by doing this.

  7. Once you’r inprisoned you lose all the rights decent law abiding citizens have and it should stay that way. It’s about time the do gooders got their priorities right and showed some consideration for the victims. As for the Conservative/LibDem coalition, they’ve not got the guts to stand up to the EU over anything. It’s about time the country saw sence and elected a UKIP government.
