SOMALIA – FAILED STATE

Men and women have been banned from shaking hands in a district of Somalia controlled by the Islamist group al-Shabab.

Under the ban imposed in the southern town of Jowhar, men and women who are not related are also barred from walking together or chatting in public.

It is the first time such social restrictions have been introduced.

The al-Shabab administration said those who disobeyed the new rules would be punished according to Sharia law.

The BBC’s Mohamed Moalimuu in Mogadishu says the penalty would probably be a public flogging.

The militant group has already banned music in areas that it controls, which include most of central and southern Somalia.

Somalia has not had a stable government since 1991.

The UN-backed government only controls parts of Mogadishu and a few other areas.

Ultimately, any society under the spell of mahound and its imaginary alter-ego allah can expect to become like this sooner or later… When Opensewerabia runs out of oil, and the savagery-taming allowances that keep their barbarism in check (and purchase slaves to do all the hard work that those lazy inbred rats will never do) stop coming in, its citizens can expect such wonders to become part of their daily lives, inshallah…

  2. Inshallah the writing is on the wall for the Saudis. There largest oil field which accounts for 60 percent of their oil is on the decline. It is the Ghawar field. It is interesting proud kafir that you bring up Saudi Arabia. The fact is with wealth the real state of a country under sharia is not the same as one without wealth. There is no money in Somalia. There is money in Saudi (for now). The contrast is through wealth. Take that away and you get back to basics as in Somalia. Pure Islam. So what we have in Somalia is pure Islam without the oil wealth to complicate things from a visual point of view. All those Sky scrapers in Saudi just confuse the mind. Take them away and you are back to Somalia. However, when the oil wealth goes there is one source of wealth for the Saudis still going strong and that is the religious tourism of the Haj.

  3. In the Northern part of Somalia we have Moslems raiding and raping other Moslems, in the South we have them forbidding inter sexual shaking of hands. Welcome to the world the liberals are trying to make us live in.
