Diversity Guidelines for Countering Racial, Ethnic and Religious Profiling

I don’t want to reproduce this whole article here because frankly, it sickens me, But for those looking for some sort of explanation as to why our media has decided to become indoctrination instead of information, this document may help explain it a little. Ill post a paragraph or two but click over to the thing if you want to read it all.

Guidelines

Visual images

— Seek out people from a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds when photographing Americans mourning those lost in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

— Seek out people from a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds when photographing rescue and other public service workers and military personnel.

— Do not represent Arab Americans and Muslims as monolithic groups. Avoid conveying the impression that all Arab Americans and Muslims wear traditional clothing.

— Use photos and features to demystify veils, turbans and other cultural articles and customs.
Stories

— Seek out and include Arabs and Arab Americans, Muslims, South Asians and men and women of Middle Eastern descent in all stories about the war, not just those about Arab and Muslim communities or racial profiling.

— Cover the victims of harassment, murder and other hate crimes as thoroughly as you cover the victims of overt terrorist attacks.

  1. I wish more people would read this a understand that the MSM doesn’t even try to be fair, instead they are out there pushing the liberal line no matter how they have to lie to do it.

  2. CAIR and CAIR-CAN have a host of publications designed to instruct on the ‘proper’ way to ‘interact’ with Muslims. The pamphlet for media/journalists is but one. Others include instructions for educators, correctional facilities, health care and employers.

The Canadian Islamic Congress has also spent the last decade monitoring the media in relation to the coverage of Islam, compiling charts and publishing rated listings of all Canadian media outlets, newspapers, t.v. etc.

This, from CAIR-CAN is a special gem. It reads as follows:

Statement on the Sanctity of Sacred Texts

    September 9, 2010

Sacred texts are the written words many people look towards for inner peace and to (re)establish a sense of connection with their concept of the divine, with their community, and with the larger fellowship of humanity. What makes them special is not simply their content, history, and holiness but their centrality in the hearts and minds of the people in whom they inspire such awe and reverence.

Unfortunately, we must recognize and confront the reality that there will continually be those who seek to desecrate sacred texts. Although these actions are protected under the right to freedom of expression, it is CAIR-CAN’s position that such acts are merely divisive and serve no useful purpose in advancing meaningful dialogue or social cohesion.

We stand united with all Canadians of conscience in unequivocally condemning the desecration of sacred texts in the strongest possible terms. Those who would perpetrate such hateful and divisive acts, regardless of their background, represent a special kind of malevolence that must be confronted through constructive dialogue and other outreach efforts.

In Canada’s multicultural context we are particularly fortunate and blessed to have many faiths represented in the fabric of our society. As our country grows and continues to welcome new immigrants to its shores, there is a growing trend towards a greater diversity of faith communities. The Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CAN) welcomes this trend and takes the position that all sacred texts must be protected and preserved as they add to the richness and diversity of Canada’s identity.

As part of our commitment to our country’s principles of acceptance, respect and inclusivity, as echoed within the scripture and teachings of the Islamic faith, CAIR-CAN will continue to highlight anti-Muslim and Islamophobic acts as well as reach out and support other faith communities that find themselves, their beliefs, and their institutions under attack.

CAIR-CAN is a national, non-profit, grassroots organization striving to be a leading voice that enriches Canadian society through Muslim civic engagement and the promotion of human rights.

  3. Is it inclusiveness or the crafty concealment of an anti-Western cultural genocide?
    I say the latter.
Inclusiveness dictates that the artist do what he pleases.
These are just guidelines for manipulation. Nothing more.
Symbolism, remember. The elites and Islam want you to respond to symbolism as they think you should.

  4. This is what the MSM has been doing for most of my life, you can see examples of this in the coverage of the Arizona shooting the left is screaming about how the Republicans caused this by talking about targeting districts or people and used pictures with cross hairs on them. This is just the first time (that I know of) that instructions to do this were made public. Following Rahm’s advice of never letting an crisis go to waste the left is now calling for restrictions on political speech under a new hate speech bill they are introducing in Congress, and there is at least one new gun control law being introduced in Congress. Read the article (as much as you can stand) and then take a good hard look at the attacks on freedom of speech that is being made in the MSM.

  5. Very well done, I wish that one of the networks would do this, way too many people these days don’t read and get their news from TV, without a video they ignore the news.

Videos like this help get the news out and are the reason the left wants to take control of the net and limit what can be uploaded. One thing Simmons didn’t put in there was the Democrat that is introducing a bill that would outlaw so called hate speech against politicians. Here is the url: thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/136895-dem-planning-bill-that-would-outlaw-threatening-lawmakers, I am sure that the only groups that would be limited would be the Republicans and the TEA party supports.
