The Mecca of the city: In a London street, the faithful find a way to pray as their mosque overflows

Yep, it’s finally reached London. Although my headline would have been different.

‘British Muslims line up for free prostate exam’

From The Daily Mail:

In the shadow of the glass and steel skyscrapers of London’s Square Mile, hundreds of  Muslims kneel in the street for Friday prayers.

Yesterday’s hour-long service a stone’s throw from the heart of the financial district proved so popular that worshippers filled the streets around the tiny community mosque.

City workers in pinstripe suits mixed with Muslims from the local Bangladeshi community, cramming into the streets beside a Bentley and other parked cars.

The Brune Street mosque, in Spitalfields, East London, is the nearest mosque for Friday prayers for many City workers and others from Brick Lane and Whitechapel.Filling the street: Beneath a towering office block the shoeless worshippers bow down. The Brune Street mosque, in Spitalfields, East London, is the nearest mosque for Friday prayers for many City workers and others from Brick Lane and Whitechapel.

It is a one-room community mosque with a maximum capacity of 100, so when some 300 turn up for Friday midday prayers locals have become accustomed to seeing worshippers kneeling in the surrounding streets, all facing Mecca.

CBC bullies Canadian blogger and taxpayer, Blazing Cat Fur for posting video from SUN TV

Once again, the 1.17 Billion dollar publicly funded corporation the CBC flexes it’s muscles at those who dare criticize it. I remember once a wise man once told me, ‘Stupidity is the second most common substance in the universe. The most common is irony’. Certainly true of the CBC who is less transparent, more biased, and more threatening to its critics than the various agencies that the CBC as Canada’s mass media is supposed to attack others for.

In essence, the CBC is a perfect example of what it was created to oppose, to prevent, and if necessary, to destroy.

Here is the post from Blazing Cat Fur.

Below, the BCF version of the video

And here is SUN TV’s original version:

I really think the time for the CBC as it is, has passed. Please write or call your MP and demand accountability for public funds the CBC receives and perhaps even a dismantling of it altogether. There is no excuse for a public broadcaster in the age of the internet and unlimited spectrum. Canada may need a national voice but we can now manage to get our opinions to each other fairly and equally using the internet. We do not need our opinions manufactured for us anymore, if indeed we ever did.

One thing is certain.

Blazing cat fur, operating on it’s own dime and with no government funding has done a better job of exposing important stories than the CBC has in recent months. And they didn’t need to deliberately falsify information to force their own narrative on us as the CBC did with the Shafia trial (at one point) either.

Islamists win huge in Kuwait

POMED.ORG

Today, early election results in Kuwait indicate that more than 30 of the 50 parliament seats have been secured by the opposition movement, which includes Islamists, liberals and independents, as well as youth groups who cite inspiration from the Arab protests that swept away longtime leaders. The snap elections were called for by Kuwait’s ruler, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, in December. Al-Sabah dissolved the chamber in response to a” deepening political deadlock that has stymied reform and held up vital development projects.” The four female MPs who served in the previous parliament lost their seats, but Ayesh al-Rasheed, a journalist and 2009 candidate, felt “women wouldn’t have won the four seats in the last election had they not had government support.” The Liberals also lost three parliament seats out of their previous five. “There’s obviously more traction now for the opposition groups. You have kind of a momentum,” said Shahin Shamsabadi, senior adviser at the Risk Advisory Group.

Sixty-two percent of Kuwaitis cast their vote on Thursday, this is up slightly from the 2009 election with 58 percent casting ballots. Kuwait’s rulers still retain full control over the country, but the parliament can challenge policies, initiate legislation, and bring no-confidence motions against officials. ”Meaningful constitutional reform is unlikely under the leadership of the current emir. However, after power transitions to a new generation, more deep-seated change is likely,” said Jamie Ingram, an analyst at Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, based in Qatar.

Filip Dewinter (and his stunning daughter An-Sofie) sure know how to campaign!

The leader of the Beligian Vlaams Belang (Flemish Interest) party already has a well-deserved reputation for being a brave man.

He has been been prosecuted on preposterous trumped up charges, for doing nothing more than pointing out the extent of Islamisation in his country, and manhandled and thrown to the floor by police for just holding legitimate democratic protests.

But now it seems that Dewinter’s courage runs in the family, as does an eye for campaigning strategies that cut right to the heart of modern European political issues.

(Though the Mail really should be thoroughly ashamed of itself for repeating the utterly spurious ‘Far-Right’ slur. Their readers agree, as evidenced by this comment: “That poster is not extremist. Extremist is covering women from head to foot and claiming that you own them.”)

from the Daily Mail

Belgian politician risks Muslim backlash after using teenage daughter dressed in burka and bikini for campaign against Islam

A Belgian politician has risked causing uproar among Muslims after starting a ‘Women Against Islamization’ campaign featuring his 19-year-old daughter wearing a burka and a bikini.

Filip Dewinter, leader of the far-right Vlaams Belang party, uses a shot of his daughter An-Sofie Dewinter in the dark blue bikini for the political campaign. The glamorous teenager dons a burka that covers her head and face, while the rest of the Muslim garment is draped over her back.

Cover up: Politician's daughter An-Sofie Dewinter poses in a burka and bikini in a campaign against Islamic extremists

The provocative image is likely to inflame tensions among Islamic groups and nationalists in the racially-divided country.

The poster shows the words ‘Freedom or Islam?’ written on a red bar across Ms Dewinter’s breasts. Further down the poster a black panel with the words ‘You choose!’ is seen covering the teenager’s crotch.

The extremist [b*llshit! Ed] Vlaams Belang party claims that it wants to convince women to take a stand against Islam. Ms Dewinter told the Belgian press she does not feel used by the party. She said: ‘I’ve suggested (the poster) myself, I have learned to live with it but I have had everything up to death threats made at me.’ She said that she ‘wanted to make this statement.’

She added: ‘What is the greatest contrast with a niqab? Nude. ’The campaign fits in perfectly with how I feel about the whole issue . As women, we must choose: freedom or Islam.’ The teenager claimed that she had been threatened by Muslim groups She added: ‘Death threats and criticism no longer scare me off.’

Her father, the party’s leader, said: ‘Women are always the first victims of Islam. We want to make clear that they have a choice.’

Please click through for the rest…

And incidentally here’s an idea of the beauty that the Islamists would rather cover up.

Egyptian comic sentenced to three months jail for insulting Islam

The artistic community of Egypt must be so relieved at getting rid of the tyrant and dictator Mubarak and getting the Islamic-democratic government in it’s place.

One thing though..

No one will be able to mock, ridicule or criticize the new government in pretty much any-way without being a blaspheme, which for now is punishable by jail, but pretty soon by death I would estimate.

I hope the Western and especially Canadian Art community is paying close attention. You know, the ones who think Stephen Harper is a tyrant and that Canada needs it’s own Arab spring?

Egyptian gunmen kidnap two American tourists in Sinai

Ah the civilizing influence of Islam. Now that Egypt has elected an overwhelmingly muslim government, we can expect to see the already high number of nobel prizes go up, the patent applications and basic rights for the more vulnerable segments of the population all increase and of course, a veritable paradise for tourists and archeologists alike.

The two tourists were among a party of five travelling from Saint Catherine’s monastery in central Sinai to the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, pictured, when a vehicle carrying men armed with machineguns stopped their small bus, the sources said.

  • CAIRO — Gunmen in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula kidnapped two American women on Friday in an apparent attempt to hold them for ransom, security sources said.

Security in the isolated desert region has deteriorated since the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak in a popular uprising last February. South Sinai’s Red Sea coast is a major tourism hub for Egypt

Iran warns world of coming great event

By Reza Kahlili

Amid crippling sanctions over its nuclear weapons program, Iran is continuing to prepare itself for war against the West, and now is warning of a coming great event.

“In light of the realization of the divine promise by almighty God, the Zionists and the Great Satan (America) will soon be defeated,” Ayatollah Khamenei, the Iranian supreme leader, is warning.

Khamenei, speaking to hundreds of youths from more than 70 countries attending a world conference on the Arab Spring just days ago, told a cheering crowd in Tehran that “Allah’s promises will be delivered and Islam will be victorious.”

The countries represented included Bahrain, Egypt, Libya, Palestine and Tunisia, all of which have been involved in the Arab Spring.

In case anyone still believes in “anthropogenic global warming”

So much more hard science and revelations of deception in the leftist, ‘crypto-enviornmentalist’ camps that I could spend all my time just blogging that. In fact, when I started this site I intended to make that a main focus as well as Islam. But I figure at this point anyone who still buys into that is more an ideologue, essentially has global-warming as a religion and so not much point in arguing with them. But now and again, I feel its worth posting some of the smoking guns exposing the facts behind climate. Mainly the sun. In fact, the best thing for anyone actually interested in the subject to do, is to watch the documentary about the Danish climatologist who discovered the connection between the sunspot cycle, cosmic rays, and terrestrial climate.

Islamists dominate post-Gaddafi Libya, make it unwelcome to Sufis

From People of Shambhala.

Remember how we ousted Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar Gaddafi so that the Libyan people could be free? Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad Gaddafi’s gone. The man was a bully and a psychopath that terrorized his own people. And Gaddafi funded every oddball political and militant group he could find, including Islamist, neo-fascist, and militant Left-wing.

Like you, probably, I was more than a little concerned by the appearance of al-Qaeda-types among the anti-Gaddafi militias. And I was pretty much certain that it would lead to a very troubled post-Gaddafi Libya when the Western governments — who were actively engaged in ousting the dictator — chose to ignore the emergence of the armed Islamist ranks.

Not everyone was convinced, of course. Stephen Schwartz saw Sufism as the moral and ethical foundation of the revolution. “Libya stands as one of the distinguished centers of a Sufism opposed both to unquestioning acceptance of Islamic law and to scriptural absolutism,” said Schwarts. This Islam, he said, was “dedicated to freedom and progress.”

With Gaddafi gone, Schwartz believed, it would “be necessary to analyze whether and how Libya’s Sufi past can positively influence its future.”

Not a bad plan, but it hasn’t exactly panned out. In the new Libya, Islamists have… read more.

Woman in full disguise sues Florida gas station for refusing her service

It is very important how this is argued and handled. This is a classic case of a Muslim making the claim that she should be allowed to run willy nilly over everyone else’s rights so that she may do anything she wishes if she can link it to her superstition.

If I walk into a gas station with a pair of 45 Cal revolvers and they call the police, are they violating my rights as a person who once visited Texas and liked it? The analogy is flawless. This women, if indeed it is a woman, was denied service not for anything she believes, but because she was wearing a disguise. She can believe the ocean is pink lemon aid if she wants but she cannot be covered from head to toe and expect to receive full service from everyone, especially when wearing a disguise is, in most places, illegal.

Once again, the answer to this debate is not to create more soft totalitarianism by asking governments to regulate women’s clothing. It is to stop making exceptions for Muslims to break the laws we already have.

Remember. Every-time we ask government to regulate issues that government have no business being involved with, even though it seems like a great idea at the time, it always ends badly. Just like the ‘hate speech laws’ that everyone figured would prevent another holocaust against the Jews, and now clearly are being better utilized by Muslims working towards one at every level up to and perhaps especially at the U.N.

Manchester worst for anti-Semitism

It is worth noting that this story chose a white on Jew incident to use as an illustration when the vast majority of these incidents are from ‘Asians’. Manchester is a very Muslim area.

Google Hosted News:

More anti-Semitic incidents were recorded in Manchester than in London last year, despite the capital being home to almost seven times as many Jews, a Jewish security charity has said.

The total of 586 street attacks, threats, vandalism and desecration of Jewish property in Britain was the fourth highest annual figure since records began in 1984, the Community Security Trust (CST) said.

Some 244 of these were in Manchester, more than the capital (201 incidents) for the first time, despite London’s Jewish population standing at 149,800 compared with Manchester’s 21,700, the researchers said.

These included one incident of “extreme violence” as a Jewish family were filling up their car at a petrol station. “As one of the family members crossed the forecourt in order to make payment, a car containing two white women reversed sharply into her, knocking her to the ground,” the CST report said.

“The occupants then got out of their car, shouted ‘dirty Jew’ and spat at the injured woman lying on the ground, before getting back into the car and driving away.”

The rise “continues the pattern whereby a higher proportion of the anti-Semitic incidents reported to CST occur in Greater Manchester than should be the case, given the relative sizes of the Jewish communities in Manchester and in London”, the CST added.

But it said this was mainly the result of improved reporting of incidents by Manchester’s Jewish community to CST and to Greater Manchester Police (GMP). Police also said the rise in Manchester was due to “major efforts” to ensure all incidents were recorded.

Among the incidents across the UK in 2011 were 92 assaults, including one instance of “extreme violence”, 63 incidents of vandalism, 394 reports of abuse and 29 direct threats.
