I have to deal with other matters for a few hours.
Please feel free to post videos and reasonably respectable news articles to the comments of this post for all things Ukrainian and Russian and please everyone check the comments. We have some really excellent news-hunters here who regularly post updated materials from multiple sources on an event which may be too serious to just wait till I can triage the materials I have.
Later I will certainly create posts with what materials I can, and have time to determine their veracity. But meanwhile consider this post’s content to actually be in the comments.

A man calling himself ‘Abdul’ made a call to London On. talk show host, Andrew Lawton, on Sept. 23 2013 where he claimed that Canada was “going to see things soon”.
Beyond that though is Abdul’s logic that everyone has the right to kill invaders, when Abdul certainly sounds a lot like one to me.
However Khadr, the subject of the show, was a Canadian and not an Afghani, and therefore also an invader by Abdul’s logic. It should also be mentioned that the Taliban themselves are Arab invaders who took over the tribes of Afghanistan and forced all that Islam on them. Remember that in the 60s, Afghanistan was a hippie haven.

An Iranian strategic expert has warned that one of President Obama’s daughters will be kidnapped and raped if America attacks Syria.
Alireza Forghani, also the former governor of southern Iran’s Kish Province, warned of mass abductions and killings of American citizens worldwide in the event the Obama administration launches a military strike in Syria.

The US has a plan to help Syria’s rebels bring down the Assad regime after launching military strikes, President Obama has said.
Mr Obama said again that military action against Syria would be “limited” but suggested a strike would go further than simply punishing President Bashar al Assad’s alleged use of chemical weapons.
The president said he was confident that Congress would vote in favour of military action and called for a prompt vote on the issue.

I don’t yet have a formed opinion about all of this except that the chances of a very wide and serious conflict having its genesis in Syria seems more likely than the wars of the past 12 years so far.

A senior Syrian official on Monday issued a first direct warning that if attacked, his country would retaliate against Israel. Myanmar has beefed up security measures and tightened control over travelling visa after reports of possible terrorist attacks in the country, according to Min Aung, Police Lt. Col. of the Myanmar Police Force.
“We’ve been reported the terrorists are trying to enter the country and attempt bombing. So, we have ordered [regional police forces] to step up security measures. We must be always alert as they may wait for the chance to attack. Security has been tightened at the border checkpoints, too,” he said.
Indonesian terrorist Abu Bakar Bashir has recently called for a ‘jihad’ in Myanmar, rousing the mujahideens or the Islamic militants. This alerted the regional police to carry out necessary inspections in predominantly Muslim areas, Police Col. Hla Moe from Railway Police Department of Myanmar Police Force said.
“As the terrorists say they will wage jihad in Myanmar, we have to raise our security measures. We conduct inspections at the gates of and inside the city, said Mandalay Region Police Force’s Police Lt. Col. Tun Naing.
